Awesome video!! I’m in the group with a Master’s but I encourage people that don’t have a degree to pursue one. It doesn’t have to be in a particular field, but it does fill in a gap in your resume. I would also consider the field you work in (or want to ) and your geographic location. I’m in the DC area so the market has different factors than let’s say Texas. I think this is one of those areas that if you don’t have a degree the certification can cover you until it is accomplished. I know some folks aren’t big on school but if you have a hole in your resume employers will find it and use it against you , especially when It comes to salary.

I'm about to become a Professional Scrum Master. I don't have a degree, I want to get into project management but it seems like experience is always holding me back. Aside from creating a project from the ground up, which I'm doing, does anyone have advice for getting my foot in the door?

I would grab as many low hanging fruit Certs as possible. Certs can open doors in areas you may not be aware of. I suggest grabbing Project +, Google's cert, and CAPM. These are doable and dont take alot of time to accomplish. They show potential employers that you are broadening your horizons so to speak.

Enjoyed this video I think I find the most interesting statistic is the starting salary for junior project managers and the project success rate between non PMP vs. PMP certification holders. Eye opening!

Great video, thank you. Could you please create a video on the various industries in project management? For example, IT, healthcare, etc. I am interested in working as a project manager in the education industry, but it seems there are not many opportunities.
