As an east coast rider just getting down a trail that's mostly ice without eating shit is making the most of the run in itself.

I love love love the part where it fades out to just the iphone footage, you guys are clearly putting a lot of thought into making this accessible to people who don't have extra gear! Thank you!

best part definately use safety products! Helmet is must and the other best thing is back shield. Last time forget it and my rides were not so good

Great tips. But at 42, the helmet is only one thing I'm worried about hurting in a crash! Joints just don't bounce back like they used to. Tailbone protection is another piece that's really helped.

This year I was really excited to progress through low intermediate to high intermediate levels. Weather was not on my side lmao just over a meter of pure ice on my local resort mountain, compacted freezing ice rain snow crap falls, this stuff instantly packs down into an icesheet, even a razor sharp board edge won't cut through it, never experienced or seen anything like this in my life, all I can hope for is soft spring snow before it all melts 👍🏻

Getting my friend to film me definitely helped improve my riding and style. I was initially quite bummed to see that I looked way more kooky and less stylish than I had imagined my riding looked, but it helped me clean some stuff up

Today was my first time skiing, everything was kinda ok at first (I know it's not ok to start from the top, and I didn't) I returned to the bottom and I saw an ambulance take a guy that broke his hand, it did not help with my first time experiencing this, but I did go a little higher, I let myself go... And I fell after 5 seconds, from 3 hours spent on the slope, I spent 5 seconds on my skis, and I feel bad about all the money I spent, for just 5 seconds, it was a good experience, only for those glorious 5 seconds of mine I felt good, and I learnt like 4 things: How to put my skis on How to (kinda) control my speed How to fall And how to spend an entire hour in a ditch made by me / my fall on the side of the slope contemplating my life choices Today was probably the first and the last time I was on a slope, not because I don't want to return, but because I won't be able to afford 3 hours ( or just 5 seconds) in the near future. But I made myself a promise that I won't give up that easily next time Oh yeah the first hour I spent was for putting my left ski on, the second hour was in the ditch, 30 minutes of searching swears in other languages then 15-17 minutes using those swear words, 7 minutes to go down the slope and the rest were spent on drinking some tea. Next time I'm going I will probably use the snowboard, because I did not like that fall on the skis... I had to pick my legs up after the fall and carry them home 😢 but well... everyone starts from scratch, and I wish I will be more brave next time, because after seeing that ambulance, it made my legs feel weak, they felt like literal branches, but as I said I mastered the courage to atleast try. And I would definitely do it again if I get the chance, maybe next time I'll be able to reach 10 seconds and then maybe minutes or hours instead of nanoseconds. I can say it is good to fear what could happen, to some point, because you don't want to catch full speed on your very first time going like a rocket and probably break something, but you shouldn't let that fear get a hold of you, that's the first mistake I did, and remember that whatever you learn from your (possible) 5 seconds on the skis / snowboard, it's a huge step forward, even if you learned 1 thing or 2.

How do you film this stuff!!! Does your selfie stick have a gimbal? Is this GoPro equipment? It's really amazing! I mean somehow you are riding pretty fast over jumps and able to keep your camera in focus on the rider behind you! That's incredible! Freaking awesome!

Nowadays GoPros effortlessly produce stable footage - they have integrated electronic image stabilization you can turn on or off. It just crops some of the shot

My kids are new to snowboarding on my 4/5 days on mountain. East coast small hills so far all made snow and not riding switch yet. What stance should they be riding I wasn’t sure what to set the bindings currently it was at 3,3 but reading they should be a little more positive in front and not sure if should be slightly negative in back? I was thinking go 9,-3
