My play style depends on my position, my stack size, and my opponents. There is no one size fits all in poker. In live no limit games like 1/3 or 2/5 most players do not play GTO poker. A loose and aggressive style is fine but it is not always easy to execute vs. REC players. I like to mix up my style of play. I stay aggressive but I mix it up between loose and tight.

You should try this style so you can learn to beat this style. It's also a style that takes a lot of swings. A TAG will generally take everything a LAG stole because they will find themselves in a hand they can't lay down.

Btw i often come to a play percentage of somewhere in between 40/43 and 56 to even 60-70%!! (After a hundred hands or so this is probably lower like 40-50-30… However i notice that IN FINAL STAGE lately, (as i have been afk fee moments), than when i come back sometimes i dont have the courage, or just play kess tight. (Less courage because OTHERS ALSO become more active and than it becomes harder to follow, and TIME a… bluff. Or even NON/semi-bluff!) So i wonder how you would see this. Is this good/bad? What can i improve there? ~I THINK i should be more consistent. And uhh. You know. FIGHT!! haha - there is allways risk of losing hands right?.. So yea.. i would like to be actually become PROFITABLE (right now i am not profitable i need to keep making cashes on the account asf.) So NO i am not profitable, even though inwon a tournament early. For a few hundred bucks $600 something. And end up 41-50, 10….. but ALL of that is NOT actually worth it!! Because other tournaments no price, or few entries… eventually more lose than win. -I think its also very important to become strongly disciplined not to play too high entries (like $12.90 etc) If i have only 20-50-70 left on account.. Im sure you have good advice for me, thanks.

I think the idea behind the 4-bet against a TAG is; unless they’re at the top of their range, they’ll fold
@Kingsfool
@Kingsfool 4 ай бұрын
Idk about 4-betting a TAG with A4s, you make a compelling argument but if they’re 3-betting, I’d have to believe they’re at the top of their range given they are tight. And then folding AAs to a raise when you still have equity to hit another A on the river, surely you have to see the river? Maybe not if they jam but if the pot odds aren’t terrible and you can get their whole stack, would be tough to lay down on that turn card.
@300lbcanary2
@300lbcanary2 4 ай бұрын
TAGs are not Nits. They'll be 3 betting you here with 99 or KQs as well. But it really depends on stack sizes too. With the Nit and AA, it is just the opposite...they will have a better hand than you.....worst hand they have is 9Ts here (18% equity for you). If really really deep maybe you do peel the river to see if you get lucky...but likely they will not be paying you off if they are truly afraid you have AA and a card comes to beat them.

You'd need to be getting 20-1 pot odds at that point, and thats just not happening.

I play fake money poker. I went from Bronze league to Platinum (only one higher than that is Diamond) in three weeks thanks to you. You gave me understanding, confidence, and techniques that I use to be better than my friend group. I was first to reach Platinum rank in our Prominence Poker PS4 group. I’m still learning from you, but I’ve definitely improved from being an abused beaten down Limper in Bronze!

Overall if you put poker in six days a week, study it one, play premium, be aggressive asf with it, you'll dominate in the week session even if you have a bad card run one night.

I have never disagreed with you before and you are always spot on but 4 betting a tag is an all in most of the time and you are against top 5 hands obviously a dog so how is 4 betting an elite plus ev move?? please explain.
@johnchan5914
@johnchan5914 4 ай бұрын
You obviously don’t four bet with anything but A4s is a very good hand to do so even if you’re yourself playing TAG out of position. If you’re up against a TAG, he’s folding most hands and only re raising with the best premium hands, in which case it’s an easy fold and you avoid losing more post flop. In case of a call, it’s safe to assume he’s playing close to GTO, since he’s a TAG, and you can pretty easily put him on a specific range and play accordingly (he’s probably called a four bet in position with the likes of QQ and JJ, and a lower chance of AKs since you blocked an A). If you’re lucky to hit two diamonds on the flop, a C bet may look like you’re trying to protect an over pair, so you have a convincing storyline to tell even if you get called and don’t hit on the turn and river, and a good chance of max value when you do hit.

You're also assuming everyone knows how to play and knows what kind of player they are and will play under their assumed repertoire. The problem with bluffs is good players know what a bluff is while novice players---they don't know you're trying to bluff. You're not getting called with 5s because they think you're bluffing. You're getting called because they don't know you're trying to bluff! 😂 A lot of this works and a lot just backfires. You have to table hunt the right table. Fold some orbits, watch for weaknesses out of each player, recognize their weak players in their positions, come to life and know who you can and cannot exploit this strategy on.
