Thanks, Whitney! I only wish I found your channel much sooner. I now have to go to the dentist every 3 months because of gum disease. I thought I was doing great at oral care, but occasionally "skipping days" was probably what my downfall was. Ever since I started watching your videos, I have been on top on flossing and brushing 2x daily mornings AND nights! My mouth feels so much better and I have made it such a habit that I can't go to sleep without brushing. I will stop what I'm doing, do a 2 min bush and continue with my activities or go to bed.

Your videos are an absolute blessing. Thank you for what you do. I've always taken relatively good care of how my teeth look, but when my extra molars got pulled, some molars grew diagonally. Wish I got a brace for it right away. It didn't allow gum picks to fit through, and though I flossed, it still left debris from time to time and might be causing my gingivitis.

I’m due to see my hygienist soon but dreading it because I have sensitivity over the top front teeth and I can’t bear the sensation when they go over them, it literally makes me jump. I’m in the uk so there isn’t the option for any numbing or anything- any advice on anything I can do to reduce or ideally not experience that? It’s making me so anxious to go. (I have about 3 weeks before I go so some time to implement things at home)

Hi, I just got two wisdom teeth extracted a couple hours ago, I wasn't very nervous since I like dentistry in general but on my way there I was a bit scared, I have to say that your videos helped me a lot during my visits to the dentist so thank you so much! For anyone wondering, the "operation" wasn't bad at all, I was awake as I decided to go with local anesthesia and I didn't feel any pain and the pressure everyone talks about is not really bad, it can be impressive and noisy but you'll be fine, the only thing that hurt a little bit was the anesthesia shots, but they lasted only a few seconds so no big deal. To be honest is not much worse than a visit to get a filling done. Now let's see how my healing process goes, I will be updating here if anyone is interested.

I have a question. I have excellent oral care. I virtually have nothing to clean at the appointment yesterday. Yet I was told my pockets in the back are worse and I need three appointments for a deep cleaning for each quadrant. How can the pockets get worse when my teeth had no tarter or plaque buildup? I can understand if things stayed the same but how in three months I could go from a 6 pocket to an 8 just baffles me. NO bleeding, no sore teeth. They look and feel perfect. . I don't use medications and am in excellent health in my 50's. Do hygienist make mistakes with the probes? She is very young and looks 12 years old, lol.

i'll watch the affordable dental care video, but do you have any experience with dental implants and can that also be affordable? i have heard people say that having perfect teeth are for the rich since it can cost so much to properly get all your teeth taken care of.

i'm a toothgrinder/bruxer, wear top and bottom guards at night (over 20yrs now), have scoliosis / disc herniations etc, and increasing upper gum recession .. quit smoking cigarettes over 4 years ago (yeah), but i still have to smoke/dry herb vape to deal with the pain caused by my scoliosis/ degenerative disc disease, and my need for sleep. my question: is the marijuana smoke as bad for the gums as cigarette smoke? is dry flower vaping 'safer'? thx, you rock ! pe.lo.te.

Here a tip if you’re mouth hurts apply Vaseline idk why the cooking sensation when I apply it on my right cheek just helped. My mouth doesn’t hurt anymore but this past weekend I had to fall asleep with an ice pack. Also I have a dentist appointment in approximately 2 weeks. So don’t comment go to the dentist like I already have an appointment

I ignored my toothache I still need to go to the dentist 😢 but anyway I was in pain for a year and I knew what the issue was I hated Going to the dentist back and forth it was exhausting 😢

Hi Whitney, I live in the UK, and I enjoy watching your videos on teeth and how to care for teeth. Since your job deals with teeth have you read that Toregem Bispham at Kyoto University have researched and found a drug that can grow new teeth by blocking the Antibody gene usage can help simulate teeth growth by blocking the gene. Clinical trials have worked on mice, dogs and monkeys and Clinical trials have started in humans so by 2030 people could grow new teeth so no more false teeth.
