So you bought a backyard zipline kit for your kids but know you’re at you wits end because you can’t get the dang thing tight enough!
I’ve been there myself but now after some trial and error I have 5 simple hacks that can get any zipline kit tight. Best of all you won’t need any specialty tools and you should be able to get the job done alone. (Although it will still be easier with a little help)

I don't know if I learned a ton about how to actually tighten the line, I might have learned a little, but this definitely was entertaining. Thank you!

Thank you. I got a zjpline for our kids for Christmas, and my middle son is chomping at the bit to get it up, but my husband doesn't have the time for it, so it's up to me. I think these and some other ideas will sertainly help, especially the one about the hane. Many thanks!!

i ended up buying a zipline puller tool from amazon. i figured, if i'm gonna spend over $100 for the zipline, surely i can afford the $18 tightener from amazon to help me keep my sanity lol. but if you're short $18, then these tips are great.

Use ratchet straps to get it tight . It locks in place so you can release it to free your hands to connect your hardware.

I’ve thought about using ratchet straps but I could never figure out what to connect it to. How did you get it to work?

We used our car. After unsuccessfully being able to pull our 130 ft cable tight with two grown men straining, my son suggested we use our vehicle. And after a few minutes of deliberation on what that might do to the yard, I ended up agreeing. We attached the end cable to the front tow hitch of our Expedition and backed up slowly until the line was taut. If you can't use your car, see if you can rent an ATV or even a decent golf cart. Anything heavy enough to hold the line in place and strong enough to pull it back should work great.
@FunsizedAdventures
@FunsizedAdventures Жыл бұрын
We’ll that’s one way to get it done. 🤣 I could see it getting harder to pull it once you get into the longer lines. Mine have all been under 100’. Just be careful about getting it too tight as a little bit of slack helps the last bit of the line be uphill once your weight is on it and helps slow you down at the end. Happy ziplining!

So why don't you scrap your bad video?
@FunsizedAdventures
@FunsizedAdventures 5 ай бұрын
Great question. It still does a good job as far as showing the unboxing and most of the install process. So I opted to leave it but added end cards, pinned comments etc. pointing people to this video to fill in that one blank.

@@FunsizedAdventures Not a thought about your viewers/customers. Why don't you scrap the lousy, complete, and misleading one, and post one that needs no apologies?
@FunsizedAdventures
@FunsizedAdventures 5 ай бұрын
I disagree with the premise that the old video is bad or misleading. It was a solid 6 minute unboxing, review and installation overview video. I could easily make an in depth video covering every little detail of backyard zipline installation but it would be 45 minutes long and no one would watch it. Instead I have half a dozen or so 5-6 minute videos that go into detail about specific aspects of it that are easier for the viewer to digest and easier for them to find if they are searching for the answer to a specific problem.
