About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

When I was a kid, there was a neighbor moving out. A few days before he moved out, he comes in with a box of tools to give to us. Turns out he had been borrowing them without letting my dad know (we used to leave the garage door open in the day time). You can only imagine how my dad felt when he found out.

A smart man once told me there are some things you should never lend out: your money, your hunting dog, your wife, and your tools. This is good advice to live by.

This is hands down my favorite video on KZfaq. So accurate and funny. I have a neighbor who is just like Charlie so you can imagine my reluctance to lend him my air compressor but his father-in-law was over helping him build a fence (he was actually building it and my neighbor just watched) so I let them borrow it knowing that my neighbor would not be operating it. Since the father-in-law is old school, it was returned as soon as they were done. The funny part was that when my neighbor brought it back, he acted like he was the one using it (I’m not sure he even knew how to operate it)but sometimes in life you have to bite your tongue and let non builder types have those little victories. Your video was great and I love your channel!

This made me laugh so hard, BECAUSE, when I was single, I had complete wrench sets, socket sets, screw drivers, miter box, rechargeable drill, drill bits, allen keys, etc. When I met my future husband, he started borrowing my tools, unbeknownst to me, until I went to look for them. I've never had a complete set of anything since. My drill bits and socket sets were found with 90% of the pieces missing. Never did find the charger for my drill. I've lost count of how many replacement drill keys I've had to go buy. Yet, I still married him. 😊😊😊

This reminds me of a conversation between my grandfather and my father when I was 10. Grand father asks my father how he gets his tools back and not broken. That's easy I don't lend my $#!& out.

I still haven’t had my tool belt returned and going on 4 years now. What’s funny is I gave a $300-400 dewalt impact set to someone as a gift and they said the drill didn’t work quite right and threw it away but their Hamazon knockout was awesome sauce 🙄

We have been lent tools by others before and have always returned them unless they re e like eh just keep it. (A retired carpenter friend is usually that guy) but I know of people who have gone through this and this is both funny but also frustrating to watch if you've gone through this.
