5 Steps to MASTERING Close Range PVP in EFT - Escape From Tarkov Guide

Many players, especially newer ones, have a tough time adapting to close range PVP in Escape From Tarkov. I am a bit more confident in close range than long range in Tarkov, so I threw together this video with 5 of my best close range PVP tips. I love close quarters fights. It's just that Tarkov has certain exploits/intricacies/problems that make you uncertain whether or not you can actually win a fight. Things like right-hand peaks vs left-hand peaks, desync, bunny hopping, bad sound, etc.

Amazing advice. I was a mid-level Global Offensive player (Master Guardian Elite) and I suck at Tarkov PVP. These tips are going to help so much. I don't point fire or pre-fire at all.

Practice the crap out of point firing. Always have a laser on, doesn't matter if people can see it. Point firing with good aim wins the majority of close range engagements.

I'm surprised you didn't mention using free look. I didn't realize just how useful it is until I started watching your videos. Also, the improved point fire accuracy is also applied while using flashlights, not just lasers.

You could have added the peeker`s advantage to the last tip. If you move in to someone while he was standing still, you could kill him before he even sees you on the screen...

I like to keep stuff that isn't meant to be in the game out of my guides. There are many issues with the game like this that can be abused, but I don't think it is right to be teaching them to people personally. Can only hope these issues will be resolved with time.

@@JonnyBooSock Oh I hate the problem/feature too... I have died so many times to it without even knowing what happened... That is why I thought it could be nice if people are at least aware it exists so they can avoid it. But yeah I can see your point of view as well

Get comfortable with killing other PMC’s . For example you can snipe - an activity that vring you many pmc kills with low risk for you. Once you have killed 50 pmcs this way you will already feel confidence boost in regular engagements

If desync wasn't as bad as it was in current Tarkov, holding angles would actually be useful but the way it is now, you NEED to have peeker's advantage.

pre-firing is double edged sword, when you have high fire rate and 30 bullet bags this may not end well

another reason remaining still in tarkov isn't the best is because the desync and netcode isn't good, when you stand still and someone peeks you first they see you completely still while your still in motion being harder to hit

I'm not even level 15 yet and I doubt I would be able to kill anyone with a VPO 136

The 136 is 7.62x39, of which you can purchase PS from Prapor. 7.62 PS is one of the best budget rounds in the game. You most certainly can shred someone with that gun.
