Funny enough, I went to a bar and I saw a better version of the alientooth. On the back wall, next to the darts, there’s a machine, you put a quarter in and it gives you a straw, you put it in the machine and blow. It gives your BAC and an alarm goes off if you’re over the limit, so someone gets your keys.

Your kids are ADORABLE! The first app reminded me of this: I knew a girl back in SE Asia whose father would conduct an interview with the guys that wanted to date her. He was a lovely man, but very strict, and was convinced that no man was good enough for her, so he ended up scaring off loads of potential suitors. He'd love that app.

I don't really get why Flag were going with advertizing. It's the sort of thing, provided they can give x amount of photos a month in high quality that people would happily pay a monthly subscription for. It's a good idea actually, and could be big. They're just approaching it completely wrong.

Am I the only one who thinks that drunk driving PSA before the AlienToooh app was absolutely brilliant? It does a fantastic job of showing how your life can be destroyed by deciding to step into the driver’s seat when you’re in no state to do so - all without trying to scare the shit outta you with intense, graphic imagery.

Yeahhhh... I'm able to speak well far beyond .08; could you imagine the litigation tsunami if that thing was popular? Here's a good rule of thumb: if you're wondering if you might be over the legal limit, just don't drive. Even if you feel fine just two pints can have you hitting .08 if it was a higher proof beer, which have become pretty common.

That one that rates young boys also kind of hinges on that child's father being on the app as well... as well as plenty of the daughters parent's being on the app as well... You know--and not the children themselves forging their parents signature. "Why yes... this is totally Mr. Kevin's Dad... and not Kevin with a fake mustache on one of his friends shoulders wearing a trenchcoat. That would be ridiculous--ergo it is not what is happening here. Let's talk about how much of a good kid Kevin is--in amongst adult stuff." But yeah... when an app like that requires EVERYBODY to agree to use it--and what not... that only has a couple of situations where it gets used. Also... the chances for cyber bullying, "wait... Becky is dating Steven... I hate that bitch Becky. So... since Becky's Mom hates what Wendy's Mom says... I'm just going to make an account for Wendy's Mom (who is not on there)... then just have Wendy's Mom give a VERY GOOD review on Steven. Causing the two to break up... and Steven to be mine all mine... MWAH HAHAHAHAHAHA! Take that Becky! I do not even like Steven... I just hate you."

I love that you used a drawing instead of a photo when you started specifically mentioning "photos". Nice little touch. Flag seems like such a fantastic idea? I don't understand how it wasn't a huge hit. Especially if they got people into localised groups where they could get local businesses to advertise to everyone in that area. That surely would be the key. Get smaller businesses like pizza companies involved by breaking them down into localised groups, and then work up to national accounts? Seems like really poor management and a failure to understand the advertising market. Edit: Also they could have charged for "premium development" where you paid an extra fee to have no ads on a specific photo or set of photos, they could have offered multiple sizes and frames, mugs, etc. This is a great idea and platform. How has FLAG fucked this up so badly??

See, a dating app that just let's the parents see the private account info for their child makes way more sense. Ultimately they should just trust their kid and ask them about who they want to date, but if you're making a dating app then spying seems like the way to go.
