I am a 72-year-old widow and people say my energy and personality are contagious. We can be wonderful and attractive BUT we cannot overcome the fact that men prefer younger women. I am cool with it though. If I could have a younger man, I would. LOL I do singleness very well. There is freedom in that kind of independence. I love and appreciate men but not having a partner does not limit my life. I embrace the beauty and wonder of it.

I got married again at 71 after being widowed..and he was 7 years younger!! We laughed and cried and had several years before he passed away!!

When I stopped wearing makeup, there was no difference in how men reacted to me. Some were fascinated by it. When I stopped dyeing my hair and went grey, it was the men who were complimenting me about it. Women were horrified. Women have really messed up ideas about what men are looking for. If he’s looking for a Barbie doll, you don’t want him.

I'm incredibly clumsy. I trip. I drop things and I can knock over a glass in the first 30 minutes of a date. I finally decided to own it, acknowledge it, and embrace it. Laughing at myself has made men more comfortable with me in the beginning because I'm not the most approachable when they first meet me. The last time I broke a wine glass, and tripped in front of a new man...well were still together a year later.

When the music is right - I dance ... when I see a flower I like - I stop to smell it's scent ... when the wind blows - I feel it's touch.

I like that you're straight to the point, we don't want long explanations and technicalities.

My husband (now medically deceased) told my mom. “I know she’s fn crazy! That’s why I married her!” I’m very spontaneous to have FUN! He’d never had or enjoyed that before. Our/my motto in Life. We had FUN!

I don't wear makeup anymore. Why should I, I'm beautiful without it.

I absolutely love flowers and details on nature. When I’m walking I will reach to touch leaves and trees or stop and admire a flower while sitting down. I take off my shoes a lot too- I noticed that it seems to be an endearing quality to men as they find it unique. Don’t hide things that make you smile !

Youthfulness is real! I get triggered and turn to a bitter old person sometimes who's grumpy and endlessly complains. Videos like these turn my mindset around.

As a woman, many times, I dont feel confident specially, when I see girls with a lot of make Up, and fake hair, nails, etc. Then, even if am with simple cloth or just, no make up and being normal, doing my daily life activities, I realize still men look at me. Many times I was told "you are so sexy" even when not feeling it. So It seems men also like just natural women.

You’d be surprised how many men are actually threatened by natural confidence.

When people tell you that you have all these qualities but you're still single...🤔 Looking forward to meeting the man who'll actually appreciate these qualities in me (hopefully he exists)!

I notice when I am out and about with my errands and whatnot, men respond really well to my vibe, I guess you could call it a breezy, light-hearted cheerfulness. It might be raining, there might be all the things going wrong like everyone else, but I don't wear that grumpiness and misery; it makes a woman seem very old. Don't wear your problems, wear your faith! I am almost 60 years old..and 20, 30 and 40 somethings smile and flirt with me. I guess they are responding to that cheerfulness. I also love to wear vibrant colors that compliment.

My quirk: I'm a bit awkward and a bit clumsy. It used to bother me when I was younger. No more. I'm also very funny and fun to be around. So the clumsy awkwardness works for me. I love to make people laugh. And do not mind being the only one laughing. ❤❤❤

I noticed i wore a comfortable college hoodie to work and the guys energy changed to being approachable to me. i felt they thought i looked cute.

I told him I don’t want to put my purse on the floor. He shook his head and put it on his couch for me 😂 he said „blasphemy“ and I just laughed... my 👜 deserves a good place. Thank you!

Such true items. My husband prefers me in jeans and Ts. Without all the makeup and with my hair down and natural. He says when he sees all the women covered in layers of makeup, what is under it all. An old movie Josie and Pussycats portrayed it so well. Where 2 characters appeared perfect and once they talked, they showed all the fake (hair, teeth, shoe inserts for height and spanx). Luckily my husband also loves me with some weight, more to love and cuddle with as he says. Personality is everything. My husband was not originally "my type", but after talking and laughing we had so much fun together. That his appearance became my type. Its been 20yrs married since June. We always say, if every couple could find the love we did. Divorce lawyers wouldn't exist. 💗

At my age over the hill, most of my suitors are in their late 30s and early 40s. He is right in every sense of today’s men searching for the right woman. It is what you are.

My boyfriend always is so amused and awed when I do my hair and makeup hee hee. He sees me as beautiful either way, but if I think there's going to be pictures taken, I'll get dolled up. But I have tons of pictures out there where I'm without makeup, and I'm proud because I feel beautiful inside and out. I believe in myself because I get my worth from God.

When I look good, I feel good. When I feel good, I am my sexy, intelligent and happy self. Men usually have more drama and issues than I care to deal with. I just want a friend that I can connect and feel comfortable around. Period. If that leads to something that would be a blessing.

What you say is so true! Having a youthful attitude is so pleasant because you can interact with any age group. I am 68 and I can easily interact with those older and those younger then me. You actually enjoy life more because you never just feel like you don't belong. Unless off cause you do meet those one or two who make it their duty to make you feel bad, but that happens very seldom. So yes being youthful is good. My grandkids enjoy me because they also learn a lot from me.

I just turned 80 and I still feel young at heart. I love to laugh, I still dance (not all slow dances), I'm not currently in a relationship, but that's Ok. If someone comes along, I'm ready. If not, that's ok too. I guess what I'm saying is enjoy your life whatever comes.

This guy I'm seeing tells me that he loves how straight forward and honest I am. He says I don't play games and that's what keeps him coming back to me. He also tells me that I'm the first woman in years that he can carry on an intelligent conversation with and it's nice.

Number 2, 3 and 4 summarize it all. And as a man I totally agree with you. I finally found someone who"s out there saying the truth about these things. Girls, sometimes we love precisely your imperfections, that which the make up would hide if used as usually prescribed, and if we fall in love we chase those imperfections all the time. Just like you when you start cleaning your guy's skin from impurities, satisfying your own cute obsession, we want to establish your essence, what makes you unique, by sight, smell, or touch. The magic is not in your being closer to a canon or ideal conception, but in the harmonious distance between what you actually are and that canon. It's Hegelian stuff. The canon is already in you by virtue of your not being like it. Even makeup sometimes emphasizes just that, but it isn't really necessary. This is both physically and psychologically: the particulars of your chin or your tendency to bump into walls, whatever. Also, laugh and make laugh as much as you feel like. As for confidence, sometimes it manifests precisely in that abaence of makeup or that long summer dress which looks so comfy without revealing too much. This is because if we're not absolute jerks, we really want you to enjoy yourselves.

I am clumsy but I have a sense of humor and laugh a lot at silly things, funnily enough, this attracts many people, I think it it draws people to you. So folks out there, try laughing and see what results you get. If I see a sad person I always make some sort of remark and compliment them either on their nice watch or something and see that person change. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Yep and I have a husband twenty five years younger. Humor , my own sense of purpose, style, diet...that all helps. Make up enhances but does not replace.

Sometimes when I get nervous I start cracking jokes or if I get a little stressed so sometimes people think I'm laughing at them but I'm not I'm actually just laughing dude stress or feelings of uncomfortableness but hey I consider laughing about it better than bitching about it
