I do believe that the reason all the Elamites are different players is so that they don't share Line of sight and won't rush to each other's aid.

This version of this scenario is by far the easiest one because you start with fully upgraded priests with 13 range, which means you can always convert from safe distance any ballistas and catapults, also all your gaia units have upgrades. The aoe1de version also toned down the difficulty by starting you at bronze age and giving the player better units and villagers. For the real and awful OG experience, this map should be play in the 1997 version. Edit: Also, ignoring and then converting the 4 elephant archers rather than killing them, makes this map a lot easier in all versions because you can use the elephants as bait for the siege for your priests to convert since they can survive 3-4 direct shots

This scenario was super fun amd challenging for me, the monks and the siege really tested my patience and methodical planning. Never doubted ornlu beats it with his famous superior micro 11

This scenario annoyed me quite a bit, it felt too long with all the island hopping and needing to convert siege for any kind of long-range anti-building damage. I got through it, I just found it tedious, made more so by how I tried to convert every siege unit I could for the greatest siege power I could muster.

Even if it is a very frustrating and complicated mission i think you did pretty well. You got it first try and without reloading or restarting. As a kid back in the early 2000's, I clearly remember getting stuck for a looooonnnng time on this scenario. This mission was sooooo tough, possibly the hardest one in the original aoe1 game. I just couldnt beat it. Took me many many many tries and a lot of patience before i finally got it. Back in the days, the Gaïa units would not have any upgrade at all unlike in this version and you would receive regular bowmans instead of composite one...that made a huge difference

In the OG campaign, we were Egyptians in this scenario,, wtf indeed😅. Legends say Hammurabi was mummified and kept in a ziggurat made of Sandstone, which had Inscriptions engraved on its walls saying "Wololo" This was the dawn of Egyptianisation of Babylon. The Egyptianisation of Babylon would come to its first halt after 40 years when successor of Hammurabi forgot his toilet paper was over and hence had to order a messenger to bring a caravan containing the toilet paper to him on the opposite side of kingdom (which would be the next scenario). The second wave of Egyptianisation occurred in the conquest of Ninevah where Nebuchadnezzar III took help from his Egyptian friends to take the city by force and accepted Amun and Ra as his gods. This would soon come to an end as the Assyrians claim the Babylonian Throne and chant Wololo upon its subjects, thus ending the Babylonian civilisation. They also put a bunch of Toilet paper rolls on Hammurabi's sarcophagus after pillaging the ziggurat.

That's the kind of scenario I never want to play again. Your Composit Bowmen actually outrange the towers. I destroyed all of them. It only took hours. In the end it wasn't worth it so save the axemen.

Scouts would have been a good option for the island hopping sections :P

Imagine that in the original your priests don’t have monotheism so they can’t convert the enemy priests…and you only get two. Without the rejuvenation, range or hp upgrades. Though two priests converting a single enemy unit at the same time lock the unit ai in the original so the unit being converted does not shoot back. Not that it helps much in this scenario.

I want to buy AoE2 DE, but there are many options on Steam. I want to get the package with all the new campaigns. Which one should I buy? In your videos, there are campaigns not in the game. Is there an additional cost for these?
