My understanding is that it has something to do with emissions in that allowing the engine to drop more slowly leaves less unburned fuel in the cylinder and also increases fuel efficiency for sort of the same reason as the emissions….reducing partial combustion.

I consistently get like 43mpg on my 2020 SI on the 150 mile trips to see my parents Also, I recommend trying to ceramic coat the lens on the rear camera. At the very least, try using a sealant like Gtechniq C2V3 liquid Crystal

Always enjoy your content, bro. I really hope you stick with the platform, even if she doesn't stomp in straight line pulls. The community has lost a couple of its context creators this past couple years (I think they were only in it for the subs and they're honestly just sell-outs, anyway). My point is, I feel there's so much to this car that we've yet to see. COVID really F'd up the aftermarket scene (destroyed it, honestly) and hopefully with continued support the market development will continue as prices normalize. There's also the HANDLING aspect of the chassis that videos (unfortunately) cannot portray. A lot of the cars that have pulled away on your channel wouldn't be able to keep up with you after a couple laps on the track. (Especially with some supporting handling mods) Keep it coming bro. ✌️

I still have a 9th gen si coupe on 130k miles, its n/a, but tbh I still love it. Looking forward to the meet 👍🏾👍🏾. I'm getting around 30mph on hwy but my check code is throwing up an o2 sensor issue. I guessing once u replace it may get better mpg I don't know how in the hell so many of these damm hellcats are rolling around especially with the gas high as it is 😳

Bro. Your focus going back and forth, from the car to you, was making me think something was wrong with my contacts! HAHA!! Great video though! My '17 Si coupe has been averaging 40-42 mpg!! I don't drive "hard", but I have fun. I love it for what it is! I'd love to get up to 300HP. For this light of a car, that would be plenty for me!

Get a flex fuel kit will get you close to 300 hp with stock Turbo pushing 25 psi
@d0mochi
@d0mochi 2 жыл бұрын
Terrible advice. Trying to push 300 whp especially on a stock turbo is not only bad for the turbo but bad for your engine rods. The way the power and torque comes in at a very early rpm you are for sure to break shit
@christianmontoya6439
@christianmontoya6439 2 жыл бұрын
@@d0mochi how is it terrible its about how you beat it. If you look at specs tsp and pherable have a lot of torque low end. So it's the same shit once you start tuning it. Regardless car internals are not made for modifying
@d0mochi
@d0mochi 2 жыл бұрын
@@christianmontoya6439 it’s a terrible advice because first, TSP 2 and phearable 2.5 aren’t making 300 whp. Second, you won’t be making 300 whp with the stock turbo and even if you somehow do, you would spin the guts out of that turbo. Third, if you somehow make 300 whp on the stock turbo imagine the big amount of torque you will be making at low rpm, you’ll have a rod in the moon pretty soon

@d0mochi
@d0mochi 2 жыл бұрын
@@christianmontoya6439 yeah I’ve known about the yolo tune. Tbh it’s not something the average owner should run unless your trying to break records on stock turbo. It’s safer to upgrade the turbo and run 91 or 93 gas if you only want 300 whp for a softer torque curve and a turbo that isn’t struggling to make 300 whp

5 things I hate about this car. 1. Stock trans sucks. Mine blew 3rd gear, and yes, gearing is way too short, mine is a 2020. I'm ppg now, helps with gearing a lot for acceleration and doing rolls, but still not a good highway car. 2. High pressure pump sqeaking. When the hpfp gets hot, it starts sqeaking. 3. Clutch sucks from factory. Started slipping when I was just dp tune. I have an fx400 now 4. Rev hang is definitely really annoying. 5. Turbo does easily max out. Good turbo if you are lightly modified and looking for a fun car, but not good for higher power, high revving roll racing. I'm w2 now, still getting tuned, but the issue should be resolved. Stock turbo does drop off in power after about 6200

If you don’t need to get on it….or an old fart whose left hip appreciates it……do the 1-3-5 method to shift….the huge gear spacing reminds me of the old 3 on the tree from my Dads pickup. By the way, I can’t tell you the last time I fully stopped at a stop sign unless I had to so I could keep it rolling and not have to step on that clutch. My 2020 SI is stock right down to the side markers. Yeah the revhang I mean what are you gonna do? My clutch is still original I’ve got 125,000 on her. I honestly don’t give a shit about people behind me and when I step on the clutch after first I’ll wait for them revs to drop so it slips into second a whole lot easier than forcing it. For me the joy of this car is in its handling from that limited slip differential which allows me to accelerate through curves and it’s over all get up and go once it’s moving, I will never race anyone from a stoplight. I’m not gonna bust my ass to beat some MILF in a minivan…but some kid that goes wailing by me in a challenger prior to the curve in an on-ramp… All day long….this car takes them to school.

That hood actually does look really good. ALso im getting 29-30 mpg, sometimes 32 on highway if im really thinking about it. All I have is an intake and catback, and wheels, same wheels as yours. It must be the tune difference, i have a ktuner but waiting for MAPerformance to stop fucking me over with not giving me a tune they said they had. Also do you have spacers? I have the same wheels but yours look like they come out slightly farther.

I went with the '20 for the wheels (wanted black on black) LOVE the headlights, & until just recently i found out our yrs have the red accents inside.... but imo the almost unnoticeable difference in acceleration isn't worth it with how they changed the gearing. The stock turbo can't keep up with the high rpms you're overloading the turbo and it can't do what it needs to. I also say upgrade the turbo inlet if you haven't already. Can't remember all that you did to the car. Especially if you upgrade the grade running the stock inlet would almost starve the bigger turbo

They also claimed better times on the 17: "Its zero-to-60 time of 6.3 seconds is just 0.2 second behind the best run we’ve coaxed from an ST, and the Si narrows that gap to a single tenth through the quarter-mile, at 14.8 seconds." Do you need to be 4k so you can see if you're gonna run over an ant? It boggles my mind when people want ultra high res on these cameras on fucking 10" screens. Anyways, I'm a proud 2020 si coupe owner, and i upgraded from the 2017 si coupe. The improved Honda sensing is nice. Lane keep assist is nice when you're *******...... They still have really really shit soft pussy ass paint, its water based, and it chips if you look at it funny, but for the price, there isn't a better enthusiast car (at the time).
