@@ghettomechanicllc3070 having owned both, the new edge is no comparison. The new edge looks pretty dated now being almost 20 years old. The 05-09 with that true retro look still looks great!

@@newfie-dean5803 “dated” isnt necessarily a bad thing. The 69 Mach 1 looks dated but thats what makes it bad ass, the Foxbody’s look dated but thats why everyone likes them. Now the interior of the 99-04s is not nice at all, but the exterior and body styling of them is just gorgeous. I feel like the 05-09 look good but they simply look like a less evolved version of the 10-14. If you put an 05-09, a 10-14, and a 15-21 next to eachother the 05-09 simply looks like the oldest of the 3 but the new edge looks like something completely different

@@ghettomechanicllc3070 I think the 10-14 looks the worst of them all unless it’s in GT500 style! The 05-09 looks the most retro. But hey, we each have our own tastes! And the 3V sounds the best of them all because it has the same cylinder firing order as the old 5.0’s.

I just bought one! I had a 1969, and spent over 30 years waiting to get another Mustang. The 2005-2006 are definitely the closest body style to the 1969 and 1970 Mach 1. I love mine.

Yea, what the hell is dude talking about (change)??? Who would try to put coins inside that door pocket? And those pockets really do come in handy for me - I put certain tools, rim locks, different things in there so I will always know where they are at - but I never thought about putting coins inside of there so they will be bouncing around making noise everytime I hit a bump in the road 🤔🤷🏾‍♂️ and I like my Mustang interior better than my Camaro and my Challenger interior - definitely after it is detailed and shinned up with protectant

Great car, fun to drive. Would like to have the 5.0, but my buget for now only allows for the 4.6. Any info on the 05' would be much appreciated.

Most definitely. The interior of the New Edge is one of the reasons why I decided to go with the GT500 over the Terminator Cobra. I absolutely love the exterior styling of the Termi, but couldn't overlook that interior.

Stupid drainage plugs in the cowl, happened to me a few months ago and almost lost my Shieet. Lol thank god for KZfaq i swear man. I just left the plugs out, hopefully water dont creep its way back in

Mine had a factory, or should I say, after the fact, piece of flexible foam covering the sjb. But yeah, you tube I found out the problem and check it regularly now. I think all S197's have this problem. Ford should have made it a factory recall. I understand some guys had welds fail or incomplete welds under the cowls. JB weld. Looked out window one day after a driving in a heavy rain and my front running lights were blinking. Pulled the battery cable, unplugged the unit, dried out. Added dielectric grease when I plugged it back in.

Since my '65 Malibu, I haven't had a GM car that wasn't a piece of crap. Never had an issue with Fords or Acura's. Everyone has their own thing, I guess.

Yours is supercharged, the stock car is plenty fast. What is nice is the car is way cooler than most vehicles available. An Suv. Boring and that is what most drive.

@andrewslagle1974 I had 93 LX coupe. Nothing stock on that Stang. 2" cowl hood looked real cool. Never had a big block Stang but I love the Shaker Hood. Keeping my 06 stock. Just a JLT CAI and Bama race tune. Happy with that.

As a previous 3v owner I'd say do the 4.10s but not the manifold. And put that money into getting some longtubes, I also had an o/r xpipe first but the mid-range and top end of the headers is worth it.

Liam C yes sir, keeping it NA, it’s an automatic so I won’t go crazy with this build. I have the bbk CAI and 62mm twin tb. Gonna go with the 4.10s for sure(I slapped them on a auto fox 5.0) and of course gonna do the catless h pipe. And I have slp loudmouth deletes. Idk if i will do the long tubes. Gotta keep it smog legal. May do the ford performance hot rod cams too. I just want to keep my low end torque not lose it. Exterior mods I have halo headlights, raxiom vector 2 white tail lights.

I only have CAI on my 06 s197 and a manual and I’ve topped her out with my phone app and hit 157 and that was nearing the top of a hill on a 2 lane so was getting sketch

In my area, in good shape, I've seen them selling as low as $7,000 to as high as $11,000. The market for mustangs in general has went up A LOT

Try to avoid the early 2000s ones. Idealy get an 08-10 but the main issues are sparkplugs, transmission leaks, and gas mileage

those 4.6 3v are super reliable unless you're changing out cams or other mods like that, but if you keep it simple im sure you could get one to last 300k miles pretty easily

I have a 04 mustang gt w long tube headers as a daily driver runs perfect and have 200k miles

@@KingSavage365 long tube headers exhaust , improved pulleys and injectors , catless x pipe exhaust with tune . I just recently bought a new transmission though but I didn’t have to. I don’t dog my 04 out daily and I never wrecked it. I would recommend a new edge they can last a life time . Just check the transmission though that’s the main concern

Yea, what I meant is that I wished they sourced more T-56s from the prior year 03/04 Terminators to drop in the 3V over the TR3650. May have caused a price increase, but I'm sure manual owners would've easily paid the difference for ease of mind

It truly does have the look of the old school mustang heritage....but what I was referring too was the fact that the horse power of the 5.0 is an absolute must! Do you think at least the 2011-2014 mustang are the last of a dying breed? At least these ones look better than the s550s like the 2015 and up. If you haven’t experienced an 2013 or 14 5.0. You might feel differently. But to each hi own you know. It’s all preference. Thanks for the comment

@@artman4890 I am biased as I have an 06 GT I bought new and it’s pristinely kept with just some bolt-ons like a JLT CAI, Steeda underdrive pulleys, a Bullitt axleback and a good tune. It’s way better than stock now and it sounds fantastic. It has 95,000 miles and is only driven now once a week in nice weather (no rain), and is garage kept always. I know the Coyote is a better performer but these 3Vs sound better. They have the same firing order as the old 5.0s from the 80s/90s. I have been considering to put an Edelbrock Stage 1 supercharger on it that will put hp around 450 and torque around 420 with 5 lbs of boost. I already know the car is fun as is so not going crazy overboard on power will make it funner but it will also be less hard on the motor. I don’t want to get into rebuilding internals or going overboard on power to break stuff! I plan to keep the car. I remember when the 2007 Shelby GT500 came out I thought the front on it looked so good. Now I think the front on those cars aged really bad and this 05-09 GT front looks much better. Part of the reason I don’t like the 14 front is because it’s like it was trying to copy the 07 front with a different twist on that! The 07-09 California special front looks the best in my opinion. I put a chin spoiler on the front of mine and plasti dipped the middle section black and it mimics the CS front pretty well but someday I may get the CS bumper cover for that exact look. Cheers!

Some of these cars have 300,000 miles on them. Cam phasers should not go bad if you religiously change the oil.

@@newfie-dean5803 honestly bro I thought the same thing this car I went to check out here in vegas the carfax literally says oil change filter etc every 2500-3000 miles dead ass... for like 9 years the guy had it... and its a older guy he barely beat on the car he sold it to me and cam phasers were bad I didn't think they would be its my fault cause I didn't let car get to operating temperature all I did was a head gasket test kit from autozone which passed... and now I'm stuck doing cam phasers which I have no fucking clue how to do or the tools to do it...

I sold a bone stock V1 for a supercharged 3v. Looking back at it, I literally regretted nothing. The 3v was superior in every way except the room

3. Is the anti slip on when you roast the tires? Turn it off. 4. Get a tune and tuner from Bama, you can up the Rev limiter, mine set at 6400 so as not to totally blow it up. No leaks so far, 122K and personally I think the seats are comfy but I'm like 5' 11
