The issue that I have with this whole business model: paying the winners out of the losers challenge fees and the prop firm getting paid by lost challenge fees creates a conflict of interest between the prop firm and the winning prop firm customer. Prop firms today are like unregulated casinos-- gambling on you losing enough times. You become an expense to them when you win, and then they don't want you to stay around forever. The other thing is that you're always trading in a simulated environment that they control. Your trades are never going anywhere.

6th thing you wished you knew before using prop firms is that they are are just unregulated casinos. Like all good casinos, they kick out profitable gamblers that the casino didn't bet on them winning.

True forex funds technically don't allow instant market actions, they have a min distance away from price they will allow you to enter, kinda like extended spread that's why you can't open or close on a dime

@@LisaForexx I have found it averaged around 3 points. Not much but it means any EAs you code have to move the stop at least 6 points away from price rather than try close with the close command. This way it keeps you in if the price tanks and you try get out or in and also pings you in before you want to enter on stop entries. I just spent 4 weeks and about 40 emails complaining that they had sync issues where my balance and equity didn't match up after my 200k acc blew up for taking a $50 loss. They were adamant it was blown and stopped replying to my emails. Today with no warning or apologies my account is now reinstated. They also flat out refuse any refunds. Stay well away,

Marketing and sales skills can get you funded by several entities. Trading with other people's capital is an amazing idea but marketing and sales are two different skills from trading. Finding forex clients is a great way for serious traders to truly be funded
