Hi Lisa, Thanks for sharing your experiences. It's really great to see how you change the strategy according to your findings. A while back you talked about the RSI Liberator as the best EA but now you seem to prefere Perceptrader. What happened with the RSI Liberator?
@kerwyncox53112 күн бұрын
Lisa, thanks again for sharing these ideas. All of my capital was always traded conservatively with proven and safe strategies (I've been a profitable FX breakout trader for a few years now). I'm now trading part of my capital in an aggressive manner "risking 1% to make 1%". Have you looked into measuring the expected account doubling rate versus the account blowing rate? I backtested lots of grid/martingale EAs and it seems that those with consistent drawdowns and occasional large drawdowns are the best for this type of aggressive trading. The winrate of the initial trade of the grid (not the overall win rate) gives an idea of how many times we can expect the account to double and how many times it will blow.
@LisaForexx2 күн бұрын
Thanks. I've backested it with Perceptrader AI and Waka, and seems like it will be positive in a 12 month period. I can't do that with banker EA as it operates in a portfolio. Forward testing this one.
@kerwyncox53112 күн бұрын
@@LisaForexx Ok, got it. Although a portfolio of EAs redistributes the risk over various strategies, I think that it introduces a lot of unknown variables so I'm running this aggressive strategy on single grid/martingale EAs. And yes, you are right! PAI and Waka should have a net positive result after 12 months because their doubling rate > blown rate.

If you get free ice cream everyday without working for it, you will get kidnapped by the ice cream guy someday for sure. I'm gonna say it so take notes "Risk management doesn't make you money. Entry and exit timing does". The only risk management you need is to risk a certain percent of your current balance. The percent of risk depends on how good you trade history is. But you may ask why use risk management when it doesn't make money. Its because it makes sure you don't blow your account in drawdown period. That's it. You are just wasting time with the grid strategies. They give you an eye candy for days in a row and then 💥. They are designed to do exactly that to attract people to buy them. Don't ignore the quoted text. You probably won't hear it again

Completely disagree with you. And I've been trading profitably for some years now. Trading is a probability game and price movements are totally random. If we can agree on that statement, it disproves almost everything you said.
@orionsbelt32524 сағат бұрын
@@kerwyncox5311well you have just contradicted yourself. You can't make money if price movements are totally random. You will lose as much as you make and broker commissions and spreads will eat your money. You are either lying about your profitability or are really lucky to make money with the wrong belief about price movement being random.

Hi Lisa, I've been following your KZfaq channel for more than a year now, with all its ups and downs, big funded accounts dream and the big prop firm letdown. I loved most your hands-on videos like your VPS setup, optimization, startup script, files/folders naming structure, Express Generator, plotting the backtested positions on the chart to spot the paterns, coding "enable/disable" switch for each strategy included in a portfolio EA from EA Studio and many many more. I loved of course your money & portfolio management videos, your honest reviews of many EAs and generally enjoyed your journey so far. Your honesty and transparency set you apart from the many useless channels on KZfaq. I got sometimes frustrated lately when I felt that you kept promoting over and over Valery's overpriced, over-rated and risky grid/Marti EAs but I understand affiliation commission is an important income stream for KZfaqrs. Sadly, the message I get from this video is that moving forward the valuable contents will be for paid members of your Patreon (or whatever new platform you're moving to), and the KZfaq channel will be more of a promotional one to generate leads to your paid membership. Thank you for respecting your viewers and managing their expectations. While not what I was hoping to hear, I respect your honesty and understand that you have a business to manage. Fair enough. I not sure yet if I will join or not but in all cases I wish you good luck and thank you for the previous contents.

There's only one way to succeed with EA trading... Find a portfolio of quality, super low risk EAs that have been carefully backtested, and let them run. Forget anything that returns above 2%/month, it'll crash eventually. Be the tortoise.
@lars57276 күн бұрын
Yes but which one. Almost every bot has the same technique. Martingale/Grid.
@theBoy_69_6 күн бұрын
That's wrong.Valeriasbots do crash once every few years. lisas strategy is pretty well thought and will make her money in the longterm. Grid martingale wtih the right bot, right sets is not riskier then enjoying life making 0.7 % per month because one day those "safe" systems will just have a bad period and wipe all profits. What you want is a money printer: you want a non grid martingale system which gives you the steady growth like such systems. you will never find what you are looking for... you are on the endless search for the holy grail - making money without taking risk 😂
@aleigh24006 күн бұрын
Martingale/grid bots are fine, but should really only be traded on $10k accounts starting at 0.01 with hefty gaps. There's plenty of great bots. Try Dark Algo for example. Never run them on the recommended settings either, always dramatically tone down the risk, backtest and run on multiple unrelated pairs.
@LisaForexx6 күн бұрын
Thanks all for sharing. Some great points.
@aleigh24005 күн бұрын
I don't think there's anything wrong with grid/martingale EAs long term. I just don't use them on anything greater than 0.01 starting lots on $10k with too many related pairs. Try Dark Algo for example, that's a great EA. And I never use the vendors recommended settings. I always tone the risk further down. Works for me.

It can be good to keep some money on standby in a separate account so you can instantly transfer if needed. For example, a $3000 deposit was able to save the Waka Waka signal from blowing up and it's still overall profitable.
