Filipino time is still exist in abroad, friends, family or any of your acquaintance are used to it and sometimes they apply it to their own advantage. It is very common in the Philippines to talk "Tag-lish".

When i go to my Aunts house she offers me breakfast, I just say "Kumain na po ako " which means "Ive already ate". So if you do go to someones house but you are full bcuz you ate just say " Kumain na po ako Sorry na" or just without the sorry na Tagalog translation: Pagnagpupunta ako sa bahay ng tita ko binibigyan nya ako ng pagkain, Sinasabi ko lang "Kumain na po ako"

anyone here in the Philippines,can understand English. except respond are broken English, Tagalog is the main as days to days used as communication, English are rarely used.since there are few foreigners to talk to.

Very understanding of you, means you're respectful, accepts pinoys faults and weaknesses. Unlike my European husband who would never eat Filipino food, always insults, hurls at servers who gets orders wrong, scolding women who uses whitening products 😂😂😂 I find it brave on his part and a lesson for Filipinos

and pls people dont expect ph to be governed exactly as the way things run in your own country. ph got its OWN rules, laws, protocols, immigration policies etc etc..and people must OBEYED and RESPECT that.. filipinos can easily sensed if an outsiders got a " feeling superior mentality" or just " ranting "..and be easily cancelled

I think the one thing I would have the hardest time with is time. I'm a firm believer in being on time!!! Time is the one thing no one will EVER get back, don't let someone else waste yours. I see it as rude and disrespectful to be late, I see it as the other person saying their time is more important than mine, and I'm not worth the effort to be on time for. If it's for a date with a lady, and she's late, she'll be there alone, she's been getting ready her whole life and knows how long it takes her, she should have started earlier, being late for a date says she's not really interested in me because she wasn't excited enough to be on time, so why would I want to wait around.

Im really not a big fan of 'filipino time' tbh, even tho i am one. just so much time wasted honestly.

Tagalog is not only the languages of the Philippines, we have almost 100 languages. Don't call them dialects, they are merely distinct languages...

Yes you are, you should have learned tagalog first before coming to the Philippines, because we dont speak english here. Just like me I learned German first before going to Germamy so I could communicate with them. You did a big mistake for coming without learning tagalog. Good luck !!
