Really impressed by the workrate of Nas op players struggle to pick up where he’s going to go and he can side step out of a jam real quick continues to improve every week. 3. Marshall worked his ass off again finishing with nine tackles and 48 hit outs could be a chance for AA ? 4. The forward line was back to dysfunctional Owens, Skunk, Higgins and Butler had 24 disposals combined and no goals that’s disappointing how could we win if none of them kicked goals ?. Butler did have 10 tackles but solid effort. 5. Crows midfield worked tirelessly and outclassed us in the end not enough soldiers up for the fight. I’ve seen enough of Bonner and Jones every week it’s the same shit give some other players a go they both combined for 0 tackles is that the kind of players we want ? I’m sorry but the game is on the line and you can’t even lay a single tackle that’s soft and I’m not standing for that weak effort and I’m calling it out ! We all know that we’re not the most skilful so we have to be the pressure team otherwise we don’t come close to winning if you’re not putting pressure on or laying tackles what are you doing I know Bonner gets meters gained and that’s a plus but there is a lot more to the game then that and I don’t see it enough. They’re taking up a spot for the next generation or is Ross trying to boost their worth ? Nothing against them personally but as players they aren’t good enough for what we’re trying to achieve there is a reason why Port and Sydney let go of them because they our average or below let’s not sugar coat this anymore. Garcia, Hastie, Heath and Hall that’s to name a few could come in and play some important minutes and we’re not making finals time to develop the future because there upside is way more then Bonner or Jones no disrespect. Agree with your last point. Owens is shot for form atm. It would be nice to see him do a phillapou and regain some form and improve his craft at sandy. Wilson could use a week off as well and maybe a game at sandy over the next 2 weeks

On the Mitch Owens point, how do we bring him into games, I ponder. I often feel he's one or two goals away from last year, and not sure what has changed about the way he is played or the system to make a difference. I hope we don't, as a supporter base, have long to ponder it, as quickly (as we have seen also with Mattaes) the tide of supporters turn. I'm far too taken with Mitch to want to witness that. Seeing Marshall as a forward yesterday was different for me. The level of focus and concentration, the intensity there, it feels like a very big load on the player's shoulders. Sure, probably part of the job, but just noticing how much weight on players and how hard it can be to reset the mood. Mattaes almost got it done. Such an important goal.

Dropping Phillopou did the trick - he's now playing well in the Seniors . We lack a Fritsch type of forward - Membury was good, but unreliable set shot of later years .And Higgins our top goalkicker ?? Let us pray...actually not too disappointed with the boys , as a lot of clubs have lost games they should've won and vice versa ...

Agree with everything you have said. Time to retire Membrey, Bonner, Butler and anyone else I have missed who continually turned over the ball. Maybe the roof doesn’t help. Can’t ever remember the Saints winning a wet weather game!
