I’d love to live near corpus .. on outer area of the city as I have horses and would love the country side of corpus.. what are great towns or cities that are less than 30mins from corpus

There are definitely areas on the outskirts of the city that would be perfect for you and your horses. You might want to look into Kingsville, Odem, and Sinton area. Hi Lezli, a lot of other reviewers always bring up the high poverty level and 'the gettos' throughout CC. Can you speak to that and how does it affect daily life? I'm an IT professional and currently WFH.

Hey David, like many cities in Texas, Corpus Christi has its share of economic challenges, with some areas being more rundown than others. However, while there are certain neighborhoods that might fit the 'ghetto' stereotype, it's important to note that most of Corpus Christi is vibrant and welcoming! The city as a whole offers a rich mix of culture, recreation, and community, making it a great place to live and work.

A few questions.. how bad is hurricanes and flooding?? Secondly how bad is illegal immigrants?? Do homes have basements?

Hurricanes don't happen often in this area, but they do occur occasionally. The most recent one was Hurricane Harvey, which impacted the region in 2017. It's worth mentioning that flooding can sometimes be a concern, especially in areas near the waterfront. However, it's less common in the mainland of the city. Also, you'll find that most homes here do not have basements, which is typical for the region.
