6. Always check your batteries are charged and ensure good contact by licking the terminals first 7. Hex drivers also make great ear cleaners 8. When using sharp tools like knives and such be sure to do it as close to your face as possible to ensure accuracy 9. Solder smoke smells awesome, it will put hair on your chest. 10. instead of taking your props off you can just put them on upside down so if something goes wrong they will fix the drone in place on the desk. You're welcome

I found prearm a bit annoying to use since it has a bunch of pointless stuff like a minimum time requirement between hitting the switches and the order. Also hard to get into turtlemode fast. You can just add an extra arm switch in betaflight and it gets rid of all that.

Charging batteries tip - get a cheap thermal imaging camera like the HT-175 or DANIU HY-18, that way you can easily spot if a battery or the charger is getting too hot. Also very useful for spotting if a particular component on a board like a flight controller is getting too hot, and ESCs and motors.

Now it is totaly broken.

I would say when parallel charging(make sure you know how to parallel charge)make sure to seperate your batteries so their as far from one another as possible. 1 battery on fure can set the rest ablaze. I bought ceramic cups and saucers from a thrift shop, and I put 1 battery in each cup with a saucer over it. I think manufacturers of Lipo safe bags should start putting dividers in them.

Also the controller before flying... Sometimes you can plug the battery and the props start spinning in your hands... The most convenient thing is to have a pre-flight checklist and you go through it before flying... For example (it's being a while that I don't fly so you can check this list and make your own): 1) Check joystick positions and switches in the controller 2) Clean cameras lens (including GoPro and fpv camera) 3) Check the motors can rotate freely without noises or frictions 4) Check each connector to be connected properly (don't connect the BATTERY) 5) Check antennas to be placed properly 6) Add propellers, make sure that they don't trap any wire 7) Turn on the radio only 8) Place the drone in a clear area without people and make sure that everybody else is aware that you are about to start the drone.

I have to hold the momentary while activating the arm switch, this prevents accidental arming. I used to just arm using one switch but I had an incident one day when I was picking up my quad off the ground, my tx was hanging around my neck from a lanyard and it swung forward when I bent down, the arm switch hit my knee and Ya, I had a quad in face, cut my eyelid , could have lost an eye.

I made mistake number 1 and boy did it mess my fingers up, the props sliced opened one finger and broke another so it's fair to say I remove my props after I finish flying. And to extend on the tip of not flying over people, when I go flying I'm normally on my own and if I see a person in the distance I bring the drone back towards myself as people just have the habit of ignoring the dangerous object over their heads and just continue walking, and some come over to see what I'm doing.

When all else fails... To stop a run away quad throw a tee shirt or hoodie on it to stall the props. The goal is to get the props to wrap the cloth around themselves and stall out. This may fry the ESC. Don't kick it or put your body parts near it. Oh and 2 switch arming is a very good idea.... And if you do power up with the props on. Put a hoodie over it. Or stick the whole quad IN the hoodie. (or tee shirt)
