Great tips David!! I have one question, is it possible to remove the blur using the Sony 20mm f1.8 ? The other day I was trying to film a shoot without blur background, I increased the aperture > 4 but the image looked darker (iso auto). Any other lens you recommended?

Hey Diego, apart from shooting a bit further back from you subject, narrowing aperture like you did would be the main way to reduce blur and increase focal depth. If ISO is getting high the other way to go would be reducing shutter. In my experience, at 1/50 in good daylight you can easily get to f16 without ISO heading too high - hopefully some of that helps:)

Given you know so much about the ZV-1, I'm curious if you know the answer to this. I can't record quality audio without a loud buzzing sound when using an external mic (Shure MV7 or Blue Raspberry) using a 3.5mm jack. Shure support says I need to turn off "Bias Voltage" of the jack on the Sony ZV-1 for the microphone to work properly ("turn off the supply voltage on the microphone input of 3.6V"). I've contacted Sony but haven't had a response back yet. Any ideas on how to do this or how to fix this problem? Thanks :)

Hey Dr Chris, I'm afraid I've never heard of this 'bias voltage' - it's certainly not a setting I've seen in the camera. It sounds like the ZV-1 might be the issue if you've tried multiple internal mics - I've had no such issues across several external mics and never had to adjust any settings bar the audio level. Sorry I can't assist more on this one and hope you find a resolution!

@@dbvares8745 Thanks for replying. It turns out it had something to to with my desktop computer. I decided to plug my MV7 into my MacBook (not plugged into the wall) and the issue went away!
