Hello and great video! I was wondering if 4k 24fps 1/50 shutter would work well with active stabilization. Planning to get the sigma 18-55 2.8, but it doesn't have stabilization. Not expecting for gimbal-like results, but rather something to remove micro-jitters.

Thanks for the video, good info. I just got my ZV-E10 and I am trying to find out which is the best audio recording level using a shotgun mic. I saw some recommendation mentioned, as long the audio level shown in the CH1 CH2 maintain at -12db to -3db then it will be good. But upon my testing, if i were to maintain at that -12db to -3db range, my video recording has a lot of hissing sound, background noise too. Maybe shotgun mic is more sensitive than the built in mic. Do you have any recommended audio recording level for this ZV-E10 using a shotgun mic?

Hey Alfred, thanks for sharing the nice feedback:) The best audio level will depend on each mic and their own circuitry. The same is true for hiss - cheaper or lower quality mics will be more prone to that at all volume levels than higher quality ones. I have a rode shotgun mic and that works well at around -9db for me. A good test is to speak about 20% louder than you intend to and set the volume so you are a little below peaking and you should get a reasonable level. I'm still dwelling on the albino duo, I think that increasing the frame rate to 60, max the bokerisation and a B roll of closeup body parts to catch facial expressions and the pink eye; then slow it down in post.

hi and help! I‘ve just picked one of these cameras up but too many items are greyed out in the menu..And it is only offering me 25 p 100 m and 25p 60m...I have tried the factory reset bit it made no diffeence. I am sure I have missed a trick here but cant work it out. Am going to post my sos to some other posts..

Hey Porkchop, the caveat here is I’m not much of a streaming guy but I know a few bits: You definitely want to ensure your firmware is up to date on the zv1. Sony released updates after release specifically to improve streaming performance and reduce overheating-both are significantly better thanks to the firmware You’ll probably want to look into a decent power supply for longer streams as the zv1 battery isn’t the strongest but it can accept external power. You might also be able to source dummy batteries which are essentially straight up external power and can sometimes be helpful. I believe one of the main advantages of using an elgato is it will enable higher resolutions than direct streaming. There’s likely others too but I’m not super familiarise that’s what I know off hand. Not the most comprehensive answer but hopefully some bits help:) Thanks for watching, consider subbing if you enjoyed and have a great day 👏👍

Quick question if you don't mind: If I FILM/RECORD in 24fps, do I also need to set the video editing software (Openshot, Capcut, FinalCutPro, etc.) export/output settings to 24fps also, or can I use 1080p resolution & 30fps to keep the file size smaller?

Hi, do you you use Catalyst Browse 2021.1 version for windows? I tried it and It seems completely buggy for me. It even won't play a single 4k 25p 60M video file on a Dell 3560 Core i5 11th Gen NVidia T500 dedicated graphics card computer. I use a Tamron 17-70 lens, and just wanted to try this Catalyst stabilization. Of course I disabled stabilisation in-camera. Do you have any ide what's wrong?

Hey Sibs, I’d suggest Zhiyun crane m2 for lighter lenses. That won’t be strong enough for heavy stuff like the sigma 16mm or Sony 18-105 so for those I use a Moza air cross 2. Hope that helps:) Thanks for watching, consider subbing if you enjoyed and have an awesome weekend 💪

At 8:34 you lost me. Maybe as a Canon M50 user, these many settings are just too much to cope in one session. Thank you though. If I go for ZVE10, this video will be very useful. I still hope for Canon M60. Am I unrealistic?

Hey SSA, great to hear from you:) With Canon i find it hard to speculate. They’ve done some strong releases at the much pricier end of the market but their mid and entry level seems to have been comparatively left behind so tough to predict if/when that may change. As for the picture profile settings: consider them optional rather than mandatory and don’t worry about it:) The default colours or whatever profile you like best with zero grading will be fine for lots of things and if you get more into colour grading or similar you’ll have the benefit of more options:) Hope you’re doing well and having a great weekend 💪👍

Hey Aarush, I certainly think Fuji has advantages in some areas like in camera stabilisation and some can do 4k60, but I don’t know much about the Fuji options in the same price bracket as the zv-e10, which models are you thinking of?
