Yes it is up to all of us

It is up to parents and grandparents, but I do think churches need to step up and support grandparents. parents and kids in contrasting culture with the gospel and the fruit of both. I get a sense that some churches don’t engage in these subjects because they are touchy. But we can’t be afraid. We have to find ways to step into this- for the sake of the gospel and the next generation.

​@everydayjanuary3648 you are correct, the church has the responsibility to equip the saints for their ministry Ephesians 4:10-13. That includes the ministry of the parents towards their children in the home 👍

@Homebound, Do you have access to a local public library? If so, you could access the material and get printed copies through them. Better yet, you might ask if your church community has someone who is interested in helping you. I encourage you to pursue these materials for the children in your circle of influence! God's best to you.

Just a few thoughts I have and how I explain this to kids I know: 1. The exception is not the rule. Humans, by definition, have two legs, but some people are born disabled and don't have 2 legs. Does this make them not human? No, it makes them a human who happens to have a disability, like hermaphrodites. 2. True hermaphroditism (where both the male & female organs present function... for eg, someone has ovaries AND testes AND they function) is unheard of. If your 15 year old can find a case of true hermaphroditism, she will make history! What do these disabilities actually look like in real life? Over 99% of the time, there is either no sexual function or only one "system" (either the male/female organs) functions. These people still have a sex and are treated as male/female by medical professionals. How do they decide which? If one set of organs works, they usually classify them as that sex. They may wait until the child hits puberty to finalize their decision on what sex they are, so they can observe their secondary sex characteristics. They can test their chromosomes and hormones to better understand the whole picture, which *almost always* points to one sex (eg, someone is estrogen-dominant, has female XX chromosomes, and has female secondary sex characteristics but has internal testes instead of ovaries). 3. Hermaphrodites suffer from a range of physical and psychological problems because of their disability. Many of them need surgeries to remove nonfunctional organs (because they impair the others). Many spend their lifetimes on hormone therapies or other medications to help alleviate their symptoms. This actually points to the truth that our biology is essential and decides our sex! Why? Because any biological deviation from one sex or the other is so rare and greatly impacts our quality of life and health when it does happen. 4. Many hermaphrodites are against gender ideology and have been for years. They are upset that trans-identifying people have co-opted their disability and basically used them as a human shield. If they even disagree with gender ideology, how could we say their lives are proof that it exists? 5. Ask her to define transgender, gender, and sex. Trans identified people are, by any sane definition, *transitioning* from one sex to the other (or one gender, whatever terminology your child uses). Most of them say this transition is spurred by gender dysphoria, where they claim to feel a discomfort with their biology and a need to change it. If their biology is irrelevant to their sex/gender, why must they change it? Why do they need a physical change and so-called "gender affirming care" when their physical sex is some illusion or just an idea? The idea of transgenderism itself falls apart without acknowledging biology determines sex and is important.

@@lisaforte1575 aw thank you but I am no expert haha! I succumbed to gender ideology and identified as "genderfluid" when I was a teen years ago (over 10 years now... back then it was very fringe and now it's hard for me to wrap my head around how this has become so mainstream) before I was saved. I thank God for showing me His Spirit and encouraging me to read and follow his word and freeing me from that. Getting away from the movement and explaining to people why I no longer believed in "gender" and instead identify only with my God-given sex took time and research. That's the only reason I know the rebuttals to these arguments-I have lived on both sides. I was once the teen convinced that transgenderism is an undeniable truth but with a little common sense and studying the word of God the actual truth has been revealed to me!!

As far as the transgender issue, would you add anything to say about those whose "transitioning" involves only taking on the appearance and wanting to be referred to as the opposite sex? DD also says it's disrespectful, even hateful, to not honor someone's request 😢

If you're denying the efficacy of Christ's Atonement for humanity's sins, then you're clearly not properly putting together the whole counsel and context of Scripture.

@@Remy4489 The Crucifixion was about forgiveness, not sacrifice. Jesus felt distant from God, a sign of sin."Why have you forsaken me?" He reunited with forgiveness, "Forgive them for they know not what they do." He was then ready to go on. "Into thy hands I commend my being." I will continue to forgive instead of sacrifice.

Religion can certainly be not helpful. But the right religion, Jesus, will be crazy beneficial. Look at statistics. It's just true. Biblical things are better for people. All around. The facts back it up. Just do some research. :)

Yes, He did. We must realize our sin and know that we want to accept Jesus death in place of our debt that we owe. That kills our old nature, our sinful nature. We die to what we've known. But that's not all that He did. God also gives us the Holy Spirit to transform us, transform our hearts, to give us Godly desires. When I had the revelation of His resurrection, I was brought to life! I have never been the same! The change is truly amazing and I know it will never stop until I am taken from this body and am with Him and then am complete! It's incredible! God is absolutely incredible! Thank you God, praise Jesus!

Death and sin isn’t defeated if Jesus stays dead. He is the propitiation which means satisfaction to God for the sin which must be dealt with so we can be with Him.
