Hey that's not a terrible thing. Just eat some eggs for protein. Choccy milk is actually one of the best recovery drinks for swimming.

When you said replenish electrolytes.... is Gatorade good for that, if not what is the specific mixture of vitamins and stuff that you put in?

How about 3 overly ripe bananas (sugar, but natural) in a blender with one to stalks of celery (electrolytes) with pint of water. Same effect as Gatorade but better for you.

I like "Gatorade Zero" and Propel for electrolytes. I like other brands also. I need ones without the sugar though because of medical issues.

Hey Cody, my club team swims from 7:30-9:00p.m every monday-friday and my house is around 30 minutes from where our team practices, I wake up at 5:00a.m. every monday-friday so I have an hour to do some sit-ups, push-ups, squats, and stretching. I would do that stuff later in the day however school practices run from 3:30-4:30p.m and when I get home I have to immediately start doing homework bc I have lots of it and I typically finish right before I need to leave for club. So if I'm lucky I'm averaging around 7 hours of sleep, is that enough and is there anything I should do if it's not enough?

Perhaps try to take a power nap for an hour or so to make up that hour you lose every night. Of course Aim for 8 straight at night if you can, but the nap is better than nothing

Wish I still had that swimming life😢 I miss it so much, but I lived in a city without anything that supports swimming life or clubs... It's heartbreaking for a person who spent almost all their childhood summer days dedicated to swimming life . And now, I always have muscle aches whenever I try to swim. It made me realize, I don't that the body nor diet that a swimmer really needs so I decided to totally change my lifestyle 😊 for the better as the video has said. But still. There is no swimming clubs in my school, while there is basketball, volleyball, ping-pong, chess, rubic cube, badminton, and boardgames... Me inside: WHY?! It's a little unfair.

the funniest comment of the video was from Cody`s wife saying before the movie, I am a 9 because I don´t want anybody to die.... btw keep hydrated and sleep is the best, but the most difficult for younger athletes. not only to be optimally fit but also to avoid injuries.

Caffeine makes me crash, I’ll get hype for about half of practice and go very fast and then die and feel like I’m not gonna finish the next 50...I’m guessing he does the same thing

There might need to be an asterisk in the nutrition section. Growing bodies (age group athletes) tend to need more fat and protein than adults do. They certainly shouldn't shy away from them, unless it makes up the bulk of their caloric intake.
