Sparks on the back of that drill just means it's not a brushless motor. It's brushed, they do spark, and its 100% normal. They all (brushed motors) do it regardless of brand or quality.
@DennisTea
@DennisTea Жыл бұрын
It is normal, but the sparks are caused by carbon dust from the brush arcing out inside the drill. While it is normal, the brushes in drills like that wear out fast and need replaced. You can tell a cheaper brushed drill from a quality one from the amount of sparks inside. A quality brushed drill needs the brush replaced after 60 hours of use and makes less sparks. Brushless drills are cheap enough today that you should get them instead. Just around 1/4 more expensive than a brushed drill. Minimal wear and friction means the battery lasts longer as well.

I believe anything that requires a phone app to run is crap. It may work for you, but it won’t beat a purpose built machine. Once they stop supporting the software, the thing won’t even take off.
@joshuarhymer525
@joshuarhymer525 Жыл бұрын
@@altgraymedia3655 a lot of DJI's products have apps that go along with the hardware, like their gimbals. It actually opens up a huge variety of features that wouldn't be possible anywhere near the price of the product (object tracking, focus tracking). A purpose-built model would be 5x the price, easily, so I should hope it would be better. anyways, most of their new drones have no need to use your phone at all, if you're willing to spend extra to get a controller with a built in screen.

Based on the transcript provided, the brands that are described as producing low-quality or unreliable products include: 1. West Force and Tayande: These are mentioned as brands of pressure washers that experienced breakdowns within six months of use. 2. Generic Chinese drone (referred to as "Mavic"): Despite being fun to use initially, its software is criticized as being unreliable and rendering the drone unusable. 3. Iron Man tires: Described as prone to flats and lacking durability compared to other tire brands like Michelin. 4. Unnamed Chinese-made power drills: Described as cheaply made with flimsy materials, sparks emitting from the motor, and prone to breaking down within a few months. 5. Unnamed Chinese-made electronic parts, such as mass airflow sensors: Described as causing significant problems in vehicle performance due to poor construction and lack of precision.

My Bosch 12V drill still charges and works fine after 20 years of extensive, almost daily use and so does my Bosch SDS hammer drill after 50 years of abuse. However, recently the SDS chuck shaft broke and a new one costs $100. Yet, the drill can still be used for regular drilling and I use my Metabo corded drill for concrete drilling.

Make sure you don't get a pressure washer with a "wobble" pump - they fail. The second best is an "axial" pump. The BEST is a "Triplex" pump. The triplex pump is a lot more expensive but they will last a lot longer. But, proper maintenance of the pump is necessary for any of them to last. Never store a pressure washer with water in the pump.

Built like a tank and it also sparked like a fireworks display, and it still worked for decades. Out of curiosity to see if I could reduce the sparking, I replaced the brushes and cleaned the commutator to restore the area that sparks back to clean condition. And guess what? I’ll buy any tool that Scotty recommends but not DeWalt. They agreed to rebuild motor in a porter cable disk sander. It never worked after that and DeWalt refused to stand behind their work or offer a refund. I refinish and install hardwood floors and have many DeWalt tool but have refused to buy any DeWalt products for the last 8 years. Their are other, more reputable tool companies out there

Correct, have a dewalt 12v drill from the 90s that i got from my grandfather. Have used and abused it for over 20 years. Still works like a charm. So that is it, with dewalt they just work. Might not be the most power always, but they last.

Wish I would’ve used that Sta-Bil oil on my Honda pressure washers CAT pump before I stored mine. R.I.P. ☠️☠️☠️

I have never seen that stuff before. Draining the unit before freezing temps is a must (will break the pump).

I bought a Kimo 20V combo set of drill, 1/2"impact, leaf blower, and sawzall with 2 5.0 amp hour batteries for $200 4 years ago and have put them all through hell and back (renovate houses for work) and have not had a single problem with any of them. I was planning on upgrading my ancient pre-lithium Dewalt set when I came into some cash but am still waiting for something to break before I waste the money.
