So there's this guy I've been crushing on for 3 years now...we started off as really good friends and it was super fun to be around him. i only ever saw him in school. i never had trouble talking to him or anything. We would tap each others shoulders all the time...'Look at this!' I wasn't as shy as I am now. He would tease me sometimes...steal my stuff. I would tease him back. One day my friend told me that she thought he liked me. I responded with 'no he doesn't!' But I got really warm and happy. This was near the end of the school year. Over the summer I couldn't stop thinking about him...but I had no contact with him whatsoever. When I found out he wouldn't be in my homeroom, I was super sad. Keep in mind that I've never told anybody about my crush on him. Even now. But I bet it you've seen all our interactions you could tell that I liked him. First day of school. I had only one class with him. We didn't talk much at all and even if we did, it was short and awkward. He's really outgoing...And that year I got a lot shyer. I would get super nervous around him and always trip up when I was talking. He was one of the most popular kids in school, and supposedly every girl had a crush on him. He's really cute. *cough* so I can see why. Some of the talks we had were really good though and made me feel warm and gooey on the inside. Made me feel like he maybe still cares about me. Now, supposedly he had a girlfriend. We were still in what...sixth grade? And about halfway through the year, rumors about him and this girl dating started circling around the school. I know what you're thinking. "But it he's dating someone else, he obviously doesn't like YOU!" But idk. It's complicated. Apparently they broke up and then got back together. Also apparently they broke up again after that. It was weird, okay? This is why you don't care people in 6th grade! But I still feel like we had a connection even though my stupid nervous self practically shut him out of my life when in reality I had a huge crush on him. Whenever my friends said something about him or someone else, I would get really hot and would try not to give away my feelings for him. And let me tell you, he got talked about a lot, being that he's cute and popular. Most people thought he was annoying...and trying to keep my crush a secret, I agreed with them. Idk. I guess since they hated him so much because he was "annoying" I didn't think they'd want me to like him. He was always nice to me. He's would compliment me on random stuff like "That's a nice water bottle you got there," and it would make me laugh and say " thanks? " but also, you know, his "girlfriend" was also in the one class that we had together, which kinda sucked. He still talked to me though and apparently his girlfriend gets really jealous even if you just look at him. Soo idk how that must 've been for her. I had nothing against her of course, but we weren't really close friends either. Over the summer, she changed schools. She was gone. I felt...happy? I also found out that my crush would be in my homeroom. That would mean that we would have a lot more classes together, which was good but also scary. I wasn't crushing on him as hard this year, but he still entered my thoughts from time to time.I told myself it would never happen and to just let it go. I had also gotten a little more confident around him. Finally, in one of our classes, the seating chart had him sitting right behind him. I totally blew it. I barely talked to him and almost never turned around. Stupid stupid stupid...I was always aware that he was sitting behind me though. Eventually the seating chart changed and he didn't sit by me anymore. Which was sad but also relieving. Now in a different class, one of my close friends sat next to him. She didn't have anything against him, and was confused why other people hated him so much. She had no trouble talking to him. Eventually, they did the whole "steal each others stuff scenario" and sure, I was jealous. But I sat in the row in front of them and she would talk to me sometimes. But soon, my friend was getting "annoyed" at my crush, and she screamed stuff like "I hate you!" I'm not sure if she was saying it like she hated him like she liked him or she hated him like she hated him. But I'm pretty sure she slapped him in the face one time. so I'm guessing she hates him like she hates him. She admitted one time that she doesn't have a crush on anyone, and I'm trusting her on that. FInally, FINALLY, the seating chart changed so I sat next to my crush. Not in front of him, not behind him, next to him. Now from the whole time that I've known him he would touch my shoulder sometimes. Although he does sometimes do this to other people, he would still do it to me and I would feel special. He's done that a couple times since we've sat next to eachother. Now sometimes, we do group activities, which were really fun. I was in a group with my crush and two other guys. So it was me and three guys. They would always make jokes and we would laugh a lot and it would be nice. I could talk a little more to my crush in a group than one on one. It was just a little easier. Idk. Totally out of the blue, this other guy who's not in our group but sits next to it says "Olivia, so you like *my crushes name*" . Okay. Awkward. But since I'm going with the whole "I don't like anyone" thing, I say "no," and then I ran off. okay, honestly I'm pretty sure my crush liked me. I'll change my hand position on the table and he 'll copy me. We both usually have our bodies turned towards each other and he talks to me kinda nervously. Which I haven't seen him do to anyone else...I really hope I didn't hurt him by saying no, that I didn't like him. ANnyway, a couple weeks later the same guy who asked me if I like my crush was I guess watching our group. My crush started teasing me and the guy said (not very loud) "Oh you must like her..." I got really hot...and my crush didn't say anything, which is kinda suspicious...But he was back to normal a few minutes after that. I've noticed him looking at me a couple times when I was sneaking glances at him. We've made she contact and then looked away and it was just kinda funny and awkward. There's also a couple of girls I'm convinced he likes and it's just so confusing and I need help and this took forever to type...thanks for reading all the way here. And Josh, thanks for your videos. They help me try to understand what's going on. I'm sorry for posting this comment. And I really hope none of the people who I talked about sees this. Really hoping...
