Mordheim, Mordheim, Mordheim, Mordheim, Mordheim Starting a campaign at our local store to have a break from Necromunda, done some test games during downtime week and everyone loved it

Wasn't Warcry meant to be the spiritual successor to Mordheim?
@wellywoodwargaming2 ай бұрын
Perhaps so, perhaps no. With old world being a thing again I'd say that it's possible mordheim may actually see a return

Space hulk is the game that got me into the hobbies as a kid, seeing my mates older brothers playing was so cool in my eyes and is why I love Terminators so much. Managed to get my hands on a copy of 3rd edition last year.

I really think the fiction around 40k portrays void warfare super well with its futuristic yet naval vibe. Above all else listed here I'd love to see a return for BFG. While I wasn't there the first time around, I'd genuinely be very keen to get into its return. My $ is yours GW.

Years ago when they used to let designers talk to people at events, they did say they were working on a Horus heresy BFG. Maybe it got canceled at some point.

I liked how Confrontation from white dwarf magazine gave you random gangs and equipment so it gave you a rogue like beginning

Man O' War was the game that cemented my love of tabletop wargames. I still have my Dark Elf Black Ark! We played it so much. It was awesome. But Space Hulk is still on the top of my list to bring back.

Honestly can’t understand why Space Hulk isn’t out yet. Was my first GW experience as well, and basically my gateway drug. Still have GSC thirty odd years on from playing Genestealers back then. I’d love to play it with my son now. But my first true love was also Man O War. I really loved that game so much. I had an Empire fleet and a Chaos Dwarf fleet - and even some of the chaos ships; I love the Khorne shark ships.

Great video!!! I wanna played Mordheim so badly, hoping GW reprints the rulebook like they did for 1st ED

Free PDFs online. Not as nice as a professional printed book but it gets you playing.

Everything ever produced plus more from Tuomas Pirinen is online. If just starting out, I'd suggest keeping with the teams from the main rulebook until you have the rules down. We didn't and it slowed down play and caused a lot of confusion.

I remember seeing a Man O' War game happening at a Toronto Gamesday way back, so many fun conversions and kit-bashes, and the GW reps really pumped up the crowd with pirate-y energy. Love your videos, you got me into Necromunda!

I remember loading my backpack with the 1st Edition Space Hulk box, with Genestealer and Deathwing expansions crammed in the box as well. And walking a few miles every Sunday to the game shop for a few hours of it. That’s the one I enjoy the most, Advanced Space Crusade was good to, though at 13 the game started to turn into a joke about the ship butt.

I’d love for manowar to make a return! It was around when I was too young to truly appreciate it and my pocket money only stretched to one game and that was 2nd edition 40k back then! I got Dreadfleet when that came out and really love it

I play Man O War still. I played it at a con here in America last November. I am heading to a Mordheim tournament in May. I also have a 1st edition copy of Space Hulk

With the SM Terminators in the "true scale" it's a no-brainer that the Space Hulk will see a new version.

Been playing Mordheim over the last year and it's been fun. My only gripe is the balance between some of the teams. The slowness of the undead is a hindrance, the Dryad team was nigh unstoppable and as was the Kroxigor. We had teams of Witch Hunters, Sisters of Sigmar, Undead, Dark Elves, Battle Monks of Cathay, Lizardmen and Trees.

If you’re willing to go outside the GW bubble there are other games with great rules like Armada, Frostgrave, and Dropfleet Commander. I love Mordheim Still my favorite.
@nickmaggs18034 ай бұрын
All great games. I particularly love Mordheim and Gorkamorka - the gang progression is a hufe part for me along with the kit bashing. Regarding Gorkamorka i think one of the things that killed it was the sudden change in the Ork sculpts. Gorkamorka uses an ork style from 1st and 2nd edition 40k. Not long after itcwas releaeed the orks changed to the 'updated' look we still see today
@drfishynooooo8814 ай бұрын
Gorkamorka is brilliant in its simplicity. I still play regular games and have a heap of fun. Not to mention, the painting and conversion opportunities are near endless. Mordheim is lightening in a bottle. It arrived at the perfect time for a fantasy skirmish game. Im skeptical if GW could repeat that magic. With discussion of these games - would be great to see more BFG/Mordheim (I know you won't play Gorkamorka but would be great to see you try it) on your channel.

A BFG set in the Horus Heresy I can see them doing after the success of adeptus titanicus. But God Mordheim would be amazing 👏 one of the best settings GW done.

100% all these games should be re-release but as made to order. This is a win win for everyone as GeeDubs won't have loads of stock left over. Maybe update models were appropriate. Plus it's Mordheims 25th Anniversary this year, perfect time to do a re-release.
@sonicwingnut4 ай бұрын
I'd like a re-release of Space Hulk just to get those Blood Angels Terminators, although I guess with the release of new upscaled ones they might re-do them if they did. Also I just want them to bring out the Blackstone Fortress expansions again - they're STUPID money on ebay, but since Blackstone Fortress is still in production I don't see why they couldn't. They did some exclusive mini game with the Ambull in it recently but wasn't available in the UK for some stupid reason.
@RyanF13134 ай бұрын
Most of the time GW only think of profits and they don’t have patience for a game to be a success. I think they often treats us who loves their (best) specialist games bad. I am hugely disappointed with the new Epic - I loved the old game - but I really don’t care about a boring space marine vs space marine game.
@gunnarmuller2847Ай бұрын
I really don't understand why we ‘need these games back’. The rules are available online, thanks to 3D printing there is more than enough miniatures to choose from, and every game has a more or less active community that is constantly producing new content, ideas and ‘living rulebooks’. Just like my mates at ToW: ‘Finally we can play WH:TFB again’. I mean, when the old world ended and AoS started, GW came to you personally and picked up the rulebooks and miniatures? What's up with that? But I can see that I probably have a slightly more specialised attitude, as I obviously represent a minority opinion Additional: For example, Mantic Armada is very good alternative to Man o War. We play it in a Warhammer Setting, the rules doesnt care the world :D. I´m sure that there are a lot of alternate rulesets you can use with warhammer models (OPR for BFG? not tested yet)
