They’ll keep it for 3 generations and throw it away once they can hide all. So iPhone 16 might be the last one to have it, maybe the 17 on its normal version but that’s it. So yeah, you won’t see any cool innovation with it. No dev wants to work on that.

The only real thing I used it for was when using navigation and someone calls me, the whole map goes away so you can't really see where to drive. You can bring maps back by tapping on it. However, maps should be on top of everything in a small window while multitasking kn other apps such as picking up calls while driving. Android has this future for the las 5 years. I mean, come on Apple. Keep up with software evolution.

a lot of people in these comments are reacting negatively to the dynamic island but i feel like its just made everyday usage so much easier. theres no giant popup telling you your phone is going to die, you can see how much time is left on your timer at all times, if you use shortcuts, theres to giant popup. it just feels so much cleaner to me.

I'll literally be the guy who mentions Android on every iPhone video and this video really deserves this. Android can easily do those things because it allows apps to display over another apps so you can create a clean popup easily w/ inbuilt/3rd party software. That massive notch is attrociously so big and don't even mention it is for safe face id because google literally created a 2D secure face biometrics that can match to Apple face id security. Selfie quality is also matched by Samsung S series so that notch is so unnecessary

Lock launcher seemed to not have any Dynamic Island functionalities like the one showed in the video. I probably missed something but it seemed like too much effort to figure out

In general, is it worth a switch from a 13 or any notch? depends on what type of guy you are really. I personally love it as it does feel new and something different to an iPhone than just the cameras lol.

But the S pen has better use and purpose than the Dynamic island which is basically a standard feature on all phones, its just that iPhone chose to show it different to try differentiate from other phones. With the S pen, I can actually use it when I'm eating and getting my hands dirty, or when I'm drawing on notes etc

@@compresant349 yh from a broader pov I get your point, but my point is it's more innovative than the dynamic island which offers the same purpose every phone already accommodates just different if that makes sense. The S pen although used not commonly by many is an actual additional feature or aspect of the phone that not all phones offer and that's what I like about it more than things like the Dynamic island which Apple have heavily advertised for the latest iPhones.

Ive had every generation iphone including the 15 pro max and honestly i dont understand the dynamic island i thought i liked it at first but after switching to a s24 i enjoy using my whole screen and not having a constant black bar at the top of my screen. Not saying one phone is better than the other. Ive had three androids now also throughout my life and the fanboys who defend their brands forget.... its not them using the phone of the people they argue with. Buy what fits your lifestyle the best.

@@armaans2496 Awesome! Try Asphalt 9. After ~10 minutes you get a thermal warning and the game crashes. If you still go on after that, it lags like no tomorrow. Happens with other titles too. 🥵 Sold mine for S23U, it doesn't do that.

Come on now, who wouldn't want a huge hole in their screen? It makes for very immersive viewing experience. Also, lavaPhone 15 Hot Max can also act as a pocket heater for those cold winter days. Worth it!

I had 2 apps that were bigger at top of my I phone 13 pro max that had widgets or apps in them like weather in one & photos in other & my photos would change at random? My 4 yr old nephew deleted it somehow. How do I get them back & how do you customize what you want in there. because they have notches? common sense. if you’re talking about “dynamic peninsula” then apple would be too lazy to make that a feature. also the notch is HUGE on 12 mini i wouldn’t even bother

because there isnt enough screen on the smaller models. The Dymanic island is like bringing the notch farther down on your screen making the non island screen area between the phones edge and the Dynamic Island useless so its essentially a bigger notch.
