Psychological and Emotional Abusers count on others to take on these principles and never take responsibility for their behavior. Unfortunately if the abuser is not able to or chooses not to own up to the abusive behavior this video can be very dangerous for those listening to this. Stay safe everyone. Emotional abuse is harmful. I stayed in a relationship 20yrs following this type of advice. I tried over and over again. Sometimes it’s better to just wish someone well and let the season of the relationship pass. I struggle to find peace when I think of my younger self watching these type of vids and becoming hopeful that if just do the “right” thing, keep my side of the “sidewalk” clean, I could save the marriage. Some marriages aren’t worth saving. The cost is too high. Thankful I got out eventually.

Im right there right now... I miss my wife a lot but she would constantly yell and hit me repeatedly for some of the smallest things, but now that shes gone every part of me is wanting to fight for her to come home, and try for us to make this work, but at the same time i cant because of how she is... Its hard, and it just hurts a lot.

That’s the issue. The church keeps teaching us to love them; keep forgiving your abuser; act loving towards them. I understand that because emotional abuse has no physical scars; the church believe that it’s not so bad. But the scars on your heart; your mental health; your physical heart are so mindblowing. It’s actually worse than physical abuse

I have forgiven my wife for hurting me, but I find myself going back to incidents that happened 10 years ago, our 1st heated quarrel, my disappointment on our wedding day, etc. These hurtful events are still planted in my head. I can’t demand a better past, but how do I let go of these things.

I always find it a bit interesting that trust and communication in marriage however there is very rarely any emphasis on communicating with honesty. Sometimes abuse is manipulation and deception and not traditional aggressive behavior or verbal abuse. Or being stonewalled. Purjury alienation from my children criticisms daily complaints I've screwed up in a lot of ways but I try to make things work but it takes two to make things work in a marriage. At this point it's getting worse and worse almost un salvageable. It's demonic the Great lengths my wife has gone to keep me away from my kids when I was an active father now I can't even hardly see my kids and she's making it more and more difficult. I went to jail for leaving messages about praying for my wife. Benevolent messages. Just because something is legal and action that one can take does not make it ethical and unethicality is most probably sinful but it's also constitutional. I have so little faith in the justice system I need to get a lawyer to try and defend my rights if there are any. It's aganizing and depressing to wake up everyday knowing your kids aren't there and that you can't do anything about it. I've made a lot of mistakes and I've been honest about it. I have a lot of people holding me accountable and myself holding myself accountable and of course the Lord is holding me accountable. But at this point my wife is just using the system to her advantage and weaponizing and exploiting our kids against me. We both make mistakes in our marriage I have maybe one or two apologies in all of our marriage from her I've apologized as accurately as I can when things happen. I've even apologized and I probably shouldn't have. My biggest failure is not leading the family in a Christ centered way. I pray for my wife daily I'm very upset very hurt discouraged depressed hopeless. It's like I'm in mourning everyday.

Abusers do not and will not change. The false and deadly belief by marriage counselors, society,. Churches etc. Are not experiencing the abuse of every kind. Emotional, verbal, physical abuse is an outdated concept. It is now all called domestic violence for a reason. Stonewalling, gaslighting, and all abuse tactics are uses by psychopathic and ASPD cluster B personalities those who " lack empathy". These men or women only enjoy watching you suffer. Please read that sentence again. It's covert in the beginning, and insidious. You have no idea it's even happening. See a therapist who has EXPERIENCE with cluster B personalities. Most DO NOT. God did not put you in a marriage to be abused by ANYONE. Or on this earth to be abused by anyone. I almost died in a psychopathic marriage I had zero idea it was happening. Why? I was told by others " be a better wife, forgive constantly, and " I'm sorry" Was enough. NO! Active repentance is enough . Sorry is an action not a word. Use the rule of three used in psychiatry today! First lie from one individual my misunderstanding . Second lie by the same person? Their misunderstanding. Third lie from the same individual? Any person you have a dishonest interaction with? A pathological dangerous personality . Run and don't turn back. It is not your fault!!! It is a defect in their mind that was never normal and rational to begin with. Please consider this message. Ask yourself" Is this were I am willing to allow my children and I to die"? I asked myself that same question two years ago in a 20 yr covert psychopathic Marriage were the abuse became severe in last six months . No physical attacks.... He was just trying to kill both of us without our knowledge..... Don't ask. Do seek to get out ASAP if not now. Call a free 800 domestic violence 24/hr phone number and ask their guestions. No one deserves what you are really dealing with. With love and many blessings

I might suggest that anybody who has the capacity to emotionally abuse their spouse does not deserve the efforts of their spouse fixing their own mistakes for them...
@hibak8196
@hibak8196 4 жыл бұрын
These steps aren't about fixing the other person's mistakes. They're about becoming a better partner and imo that makes you the winner anyways. This is also not about a marriage where abuse is the norm. It's about fixing a good marriage where something has gone wrong. We all abuse each other sometimes, it's sad, we don't like to admit it, but it happens because we're all humans and broken.
