Number 5 is so true though. Back Xrd Sign, I had a "Tilt Uno Reverse" combo with slayer, where if I was getting tilted, I would 5D>j.S>j.S>j.S>jc>j.S every chance I could. Did it do F all damage? Yeah. Did hearing Slayer laugh mockingly at my opponent feel insanely satisfying and funny? Heck yeah!

The point is doing what is considered to be a nonsensical option. The overall viability of the move doesn't enter into it. In fact, it'll make it funnier. Even Shotos, who are supposed to hve the most boring, inoffensive moveset, can do this

That last one, where you just throw caution to the wind and go apeshit because fuck it...I did that on DnF duel with the gunner chick. Couldn't zone worth a damn actually doing combos, so I just ended up using her basic shot combo with totally random timing, refusing to do ANYTHING else. 7 match winning streak that way, because I just gave up and did something bananas.
@tingispingis

I did the same. Got tired of losing to people in Strive who were mashing and spamming without thinking. Picked Sin, outmashed them and won every match. Die an honest player or live long enough to become a glue eater

My best tip for this in all of life is trust the opponent, trust they're doing what they think is best against you, believe they're trying their best because they wanna put up a fight, projectile spam? They're testing your patience, it's a good time to train how to punish this tactic, stuff like this, if you think your opponent is trying to win, you'll justify it in any way, but if you think they're here to put up a fight, you can focus better on your mistakes and what you can do alternatively next time. It is more or less the first point but for everything, shooters, fighters, idk Roblox, your opponent isn't doing cheap tactics, they're testing your skills to measure you up and you have the opportunity to rise up that occasion, show them your best.

Tips 3 and 5 is actually why I tilt the most, funnily enough. For context, I mostly either play Strive in the lab or against my friend. I main Axl, but I go for a more combo-oriented playstyle that uses my range as a tool for hype rather than my win condition. ...and that's the problem. My friend mains Bridget, who I absolutely despise, and while she's looping pressure and using 4 moves the entire game, I want to do cool shit. Because I'm stuck in the corner all game, I say "fuck it" and focus on something else: my defense. During the match, I find myself just practicing IBs, since the combos are as predictable as a Disney twist villain. My opponent notices that they can't land a hit on me, and so they start going for grabs to open me up. I'm focused on trying to find the small amount of joy I can against this god-forsaken character, but then I get grabbed and I'm ripped away from my goal that I set that wasn't just me winning the match. Especially tip 5, I did this in a Millia vs Bridget matchup. I did so many things: going for specific mixups, doing specific dumb options, hell, I even tried to lower my APM as much as possible before my friend noticed. Still didn't make that 0-80 session any more bearable than if I had actually tried.

There's something weird about fighting games where I can go 3-30 and just think of how fun the game is I find personally, just acknowledging that your opponent is cracked can honestly make the game a lot more fun in my experience, changes the mindset from a 'this game is bullshit and they're only winning because of that' to a 'this guy's pretty good I wonder if I can beat them if I adapt enough.

Honestly it could be cool if they had things like custom objectives you can set up, things like land this move after that move, or if it cant be tracked as easily, just input your own objects for yourself to track. something so that its viewable before, durring and after the match. this way you can get people into the habbit of setting up these simple goals before they move onto setting up more complex goals while having a small ingame thing to do so. and as a bonus you could tie a small reward to completing these. sure this could probably be exploited but the point is that this system could help encourage people into healthier ways of looking at situations rather than the result of the match itself

My issue is by playing pot I just sort of accepted that most people were hard matchups, so I just didn’t focus on the matchup and just played looking for openings and ways I could fight back. But this has caused rage because my REALLY bad matchups no longer felt like bad matchups, but more like a cheesy opponent designed to ruin my day and I would get mad.

In response to the "just go apeshit" i did this playing against Millia as Bedman? once. I was getting trashed because... bedman vs millia and ended up doing the dumbest shit, random aerial 236s, super on the opponents wakeup, jump grab out of h disc, roundstart 6h, you get the gist. I won the next 3 matches. sometimes dumb shit just works

This isn't entirely true and that's because stuff like rage, anger frustration are habits that need to be consciously overcome. So even though you have played 2000+ matches, you may have just found 2000+ ways to get tilted. Instead you gotta decide to not get tilted and expect that shit is bound to happen and sometimes you're the one eating that shit

i wasa really into GG Strive and Tekken 8... But with GG i got to floor 10 and then kept losing all the time, and in T8 i can't get out of purple AT ALL. I got so salty to the point i just straight up quit. i did all the tricks and used all the tools. But no matter how much i practice and try to improve (and by god do i hate spending hours into the practice mode cuzz i definetly ain't playing then) it didn't work. I just couldn't translate any of it into the actual fights.... So i gave up and now it's been more then a month since i played a fighting game and i just can't bring myself to get back into those time sinks.... It feels very sad though, i loved playing Bedman? and Reina.

The biggest thing I have to say is yes it is unfair. That’s legitimately unfortunately how everything works. Not in the world is cruel way cause thats horse shit, but in the idea that there will never be a scenario in any game ever that you are equal. So much goes into skill and the game. While you might be able to be boxed together in the same bracket of skill that doesn’t mean one of you isn’t superior. That can mean one has better inputs, mindset, a clearer head, had a better day, played more, failed more, more determination, more study the list goes on and on. Unfair doesnt mean bad tho. Unfairness and difference between opponents is what competition is about! Its a challenge its a question to you to grow better. Everything is a problem you must solve, and sometimes you just can’t do it in time, you’re too slow on that counter or block input, etc etc and you lose. Good! Thats experience its practice its giving you the slight neuron firing to eventually build to growth. Thats happens if you accept unfairness, and stop looking at things as raw skill or who has the better character. Its just a game its just a match its a problem with a time limit. If you don’t solve it well guess what that legitimately means nothing losing in video games is literally impossible cause theres nothing you can tangibly lose. Rank? Who cares get it back. You lost out on an item or unlock? So what get another one. Money? It was never yours to begin with so no you didn’t lose it. Pride? Humble yourself its a video game.

My biggest problem is that I don't play to win. I play to lose. In the most spectacular and interesting way possible. (No, 2 combos to death is spectacular, but super boring) And for rewards. Curse you, Shorts and easy availability of entertainment for what you've done to my attention! Curse you! It's gotten so bad this past year, that I now afk matches to some youtube video, if I see I'm even moderately worse than opponent. Because, what's the point of sticking out till the end, if I know the ending? And matchmaker now is khm, less than perfect What helps is: to change game once I afk one match. Because if I do, it'll keep happening every other match. Hearing "Believe in Victory" at the start of every match is good. But not enough. I'm aware that this is just adding more fuel to the 'adhd' fire. But like, I'm okay with that. I'll deal with that later, it's not like it's such a big nuisance, after all
