I think the fact that in all of the bad Sandy episodes, she’s often the least of the problems, just goes to show how great of a character she is.

Seeing Sandy give Mr. Krabs the business was a welcome sight. Sweaty old crustacean endangers Spongy's life so often and without a hint of remorse or consequence, seeing Karma chomping at his hindquarters in the form of an irate squirrel is...just fantastic.

The thing I like a ton about Sandy is the fact that when Patrick is terribly out of character they usually don’t fail with Sandy.

The shopping list is a great example of how SpongeBob adapted to the new generation. There are jokes that all ages can enjoy and the fun animation keeps kids engaged.

Ah yes, Ripped Pants. The season one episode where they dropped the whole couple dynamic between Spongebob and Sandy and established them as platonic friends.

But my favorite Sandy moment has to be at the end of "Wormy" where she takes the now butterflied wormy into a jar and she's surprised while being celebrated as a hero. Tough to call "Wormy" a Sandy episode though

In the episode someone's in the kitchen with sandy, Sandy could have used her jumpsuit to go outside instead of going outside “naked”

too bad the episode where sandy teaches squidward self defense did not make this list. as a victim of assault and someone who suffers severe social anxiety, that episode really rang true for me. it really got the feelings of being powerless and terrified like someone is around the corner right regarding squidward.

I know this list is about Sandy but sometimes I just feel bad for Patrick. Whenever Sandy or SpongeBob act uncharacteristicly dumb or mean-spirited, it’s just written off as poor writing and people just don’t bring it up again. But with Patrick? His bad episodes practically became his defining episodes and people refuse to view him any other way afterwards. Patrick really needs more episodes that don’t portray him as either a cruel jerk or a literal ****** and more as a slow thinking but well meaning oaf like Kronk from Emperors new groove.

*Fun Fact:* We all know that Spongebob met Sandy for the first time in _"Tea at the Treedome."_ However, the timeline broke when Kamp Koral introduced the young Sandy Cheeks. However, the second episode of the spin-off called "Kitchen Sponge" explained how the timeline got fixed. In this episode, future Sandy told her younger self to stop Plankton from stealing the formula by burning it, creating the alternate universe. In my opinion, Kamp Koral is pretty decent and it's not as bad as everyone made it out to be. Not to mention that Stephen Hillenburg did knew about the spin-off.

I love Sandy. She's cool, strong, smart and she's a cute little squirrel. I love it when she droops her ears when she's sad.

Seeing Patrick's abysmal behaviour in the psychology episode made me appreciate his portrayal in Sponge On The Run even more.

I like Sandy and seems to be the only one who has never been unlikeable. The situations she finds herself in are usually because somebody is a idiot and she tries her best to resolve the situation she doesn't deserve to be in

While A Flea In Her Dome definitely isn't the best Spongebob episode by a long shot, I thought it gave a good depiction of just how serious an infestation can be, in a very similar fashion to how the Fungus Among Us episode depicted the seriousness of a pandemic. A lot of us have dealt with insect infestations, such as termites, cockroaches, bed bugs etc, and those of us who know from experience can tell you it is NOT pretty or fun at all! In this case, Sandy's infestation was fleas, which actually makes sense since she's a squirrel, and there actually exists a very specific species of fleas known as "Squirrel Fleas", which this particular flea does appear to be modelled after. Anyway, the way the episode progresses shows incremental stages of the infestation. First it shows just how easily an infestation can start (it all started with a single flea Sandy unknowingly brought back from Texas), then how fast it can spread, the severe damage it can cause to both the home and the people living in it (Patrick tearing up in pain might not be fun to watch, but I can't say it's inaccurate in this particular situation), and overall just how bad an infestation can get, especially if it's not properly dealt with. I'll admit the ending was incredibly stupid and didn't make any logical sense, but at least it "sort of" showed the wrong way to deal with an infestation, and the consequences it can lead to. While water would be able to kill the insects, but flooding your entire home is obviously not a good idea in general. Especially not if there's a lot of active electricity within the home (given Sandy is a scientist, there probably is), which can make the situation even more potentially dangerous! (I'm surprised everybody in the dome didn't get electrocuted and turned into fried fish!) Though I will say Sandy, Spongebob and Patrick didn't exactly have a lot of time to plan or think about how to deal with the infestation, given how bad it had gotten, to the point where they'd desperately do anything to just get rid of it ASAP, and water was the first thing Sandy thought of and just immediately went for it, without even thinking about the potential consequences it could cause afterwards. It is very easy to make really bad/stupid decisions out of sheer panic when in extreme/crisis situations such as this. I can actually relate to this, cause a long time ago I did something similarly stupid, when something in my microwave caught fire, I panicked and immediately grabbed the sink's sprayer and used it to put out the fire. I didn't have any time to think of how to properly put it out because I was in a state of panic, and the only thing going through my mind was "PUT IT OUT NOW, BEFORE THE HOUSE BURNS DOWN!" I might've put out the fire, but I ended up breaking the microwave, and we had to throw it out and buy a new one. I'm definitely not proud of admitting it, but sometimes we learn lessons the hard way after doing something stupid, and a lot of stupid things we do are caused by panicking. I think the ending of the flea episode gave a somewhat good example of what happens when you panic and don't properly take care of a bad situation like this. Sure the ocean draining was just plain ridiculous and didn't make any sense (even by Spongebob standards), but it was obviously just an exaggerated joke anyway... and perhaps maybe a metaphorical exaggeration of the consequences of Sandy's panick-induced actions, when she flooded her treedome and sucked everyone in?... I think you get the picture here.

Fun Fact: The flea's screech was a Megaguirus roar from the Godzilla series.

My favorite Sandy episode is Karate Island. Sandy beating the lips lady never falls to make me smile.

I don't think it was SpongeBob being stupid that he let Patrick stay, it's more like his kind heartedness that can make him do whatever others want if they ask kindly enough.

Just after Strider said that Spongebob has to stop doing karate, I got an ad that started with "Have you ever wondered about rebelling against status quo?"

I love how in the worst Episodes, only 2 out of 5 Of the Episodes Mentioned are Episodes where Sandy is the mean one. It really shows how good she is as a character.

25:41 They could have turned this joke around if she had only attacked Patrick, and then said something like "oh, it's you Spongebob!" Then Patrick would walk up with a huge boot print in his face and saltily ask "why didn't you recognize me?" And Sandy would bluntly say "I did." And then I'd chuckle, and the scene would continue.

Because Nickelodeon is planning Spin-offs, I probably wouldn't mind if we got A Spin-off of Sandy when she grew up in Texas. It could be interesting to see her life before she moved to Bikini Bottom and if we meet her family (Just as long as They do not find a way to screw it up.)

Sandy's an underappreciated character. She can do karate, invent stuff, perform in rodeos, and many more!

I really liked the season 2 episode “Pressure”, there was a ton of great dialogue and jokes that had me really invested in the episode the whole time, And the part when they go above water is awesome!

She's the reason I always respect squirrels.

I laughed alot at "Karate Choppers," when I was a kid but know that i look back on as an adult I find it even more interesting now that I understand more of it's adult jokes

Moral of the Story: Under any circumstances, NEVER let Patrick be in charge, even if it's an experiment.

I always liked SB's friend-crush on Sandy in the early seasons. And I really like the animation in some of the "worst" picks, even if they're not great episodes.

The worst part about "a flea in her dome" has to be that you always start itching when you watch it.

Sandy is a character I used to look up as a kid. A strong female character who is also fun, smart and friendly. Also, what I love about her is that she managed to avoid most of the humiliations, tortures and unfortunate events the SpongeBob characters are going through. Usually by not appearing in those episodes (I say, her being underutilized can be a good thing sometimes) (Kwarantine Krabs come to mind), by appearing very little (Face Freeze) or be the one that essentially save the day at the end (Whirly Brain). Any episodes that involve her going through tortures and humiliations are considered bad in my eyes.

My favourite Sandy moment is in "Patrick's Game". She's smart enough to realize that the board game Patrick made is ridiculous and non-sensical, but instead of being a jerk about it like Squidward, she goes along with it and tries to have fun, probably because she knows how hard Patrick worked on it. That's something I like about her character. She's the smartest person around but loves having dumb fun with her friends. She's not a square like Squidward who sees those things as "beneath him"

Sandy is one of the Best Spongebob Characters along with Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr Krabs, Plankton, and Gary.

Karate Island is a personal favorite of mine, especially because I owned the DVD as a kid. It's got a nice start, Sandy wanting to protect her friend without raining on his parade. Then when SpongeBob starts tooting his own horn a bit too much, she's willing to put her foot down. But even after she gets frustrated with him, she still doesn't hesitate to run to his rescue when she realizes he's in real danger. There's the fact that Spongey genuinely apologizes and gets Sandy's forgiveness, and then of course the sweet exchange of "Does this mean I'm not King of Karate?" "You are in my book, SpongeBob. You are in my book." It's a fantastic episode from start to finish. Plus, the Kill Bill homage is unexpected but incredibly entertaining.

I'm not crazy about the pre-movie Sandy episodes of "SpongeBob". There are some episodes where she pursuades SpongeBob to do something (Pre-Hibernation Week and MuscleBob BuffPants as examples) only for SpongeBob to be forced to dig himself into a deeper hole or that what Sandy wants SB to do is going to get him in some sort of trouble. This was back when Sandy was seen as a daredevil, not a scientist.

Hey strider, did you know they actually explained how Sandy met SpongeBob in camp Coral? Apparently older Sandy contacted younger Sandy because Plankton was going to recreate the Krabby Patty formula at camp Coral. This created an alternate universe where they met at camp Coral. And you literally get to see older Sandy as she normally is, not in 3D.

For some reason, whenever I see videos like this from Josh, I can’t help but smile. Any time he negatively reviews an episode I hate, I agree with his points. Any time he negatively reviews one I love, he still will point out the good, and remind me it’s okay if our opinions differ. And any time he does a positive review, whether it’s on an episode I love, hate, or whatever, there’s always such a charm to the way he describes the episodes. It’s almost like a sense of childlike wonder, while still seeing the nuances, and appreciating the small details. It helps me see those episodes in a different light, and view things in his perspective.

PhantomStrider, the "Fishbowl" episode is an homage to the "Stanford Prison Experiment"; the references to Patrick going mad with power [which references the guards], Spongebob being tortured [referencing the inmates], sandy being in charge but also part of the experiment [which references the professor], and Squidward starving referencing the one inmate to used a hunger strike. Perhaps this was not the creators intent, but the parallels are very noticeable. I am sure that as a person who knows about psychology like yourself, you know about the stanford prison experiment. If not, you can google it. There was also a bit of child psychology there with the ice cream bowls.

I just love these SpongeBob videos. Phantomstrider puts logic into what makes an episode good or bad, and never judges or insults an artist. Such wonderful videos, keep it up❤️👏
