Hi Darren, i agree with you. The ability to shoot beyond 30s without using bulb mode and a shutter release cable is aussome. There is only a small drawback, and this is the fact that beyond 30s you only can choose predefined steps of time increase like 30s, 60s, 90s, ... and you can not choose something like 34s or 51s. This is especial important when you are shooting long exposure with ND filters.

Just upgraded from the Z6 to Z6II. Looking at Nikon's website it appears the 900-second exposure has been available since the release of the Z6II and Z7II. Super nice feature and often overlooked. I can probably sell my remote trigger release now. 🙂

Thanks for sharing! I hadn't really been using the Z6ii for real estate so I assumed wrongly that this was new, but either way, it's a really cool feature.

Great video... I have no need for long exposures, but thrilled to see you using the Nikon Z system! I have followed you since the Olympus days... Nice to see you back on YT... Happy Holidays!

I don't own a Z6 so just here for the real estate images and wishing I'd worked harder to live in amazing homes like the ones shown 😭🙂

I was hoping this was also available on the Z6 but no such luck.

And the reason it’s not is…?

Don’t know why they couldn’t do the upgrade on the Z6 other than they wanted to have the Z6II maintain an advantage over the Z6.
