Even if we're taking into consideration those with unreported wealth such as Putin and cartel bosses, $50b in cash is huge. That's almost a quarter of Bernard Arlnolt's entire net worth which is made up of not only cash on hand but shares, property and other assets.

Almost all of that is in stocks/shares/investments/etc. rich billionaires don't actually have billions of dollars lol, it's called net worth, meaning its everything combined. If this happened to me, I'd stage a small theft from my own funds, then report it as a scammer's attack. During the call, I'd disconnect abruptly to create an impression of technical issues before the customer service access my account. Months later, I'd transfer modest amounts to offshore accounts, minimizing attention. If the bank investigates, my initial report would shift blame to the "scammers", protecting me.

If that happened to me, I'd transfer the money to my high yield interest account ASAP and hope they'd take a while to find the error. Collect some interest and eventually return the principle back. For reference $50B in a 5.3% high yield account is $7M a day!!!

For large transaction they more than likely have an actual human review it. Your best bet is to withdraw little by little each week so as to not raise red flags. Usually anything over 10,000 get instantly reviewed

I work for 3 banks before retiring and what I can say is that it's rear a situation like this happen... But when it does it's not human error as computers is what controls it all. Even if a teller makes a mistake it would easily be corrected by the computer before money is disbursed into an account. When systems are updated, there may be a glitch at times sending the money into a random account....

this is when you call a lawyer. pull as much of it as u can and invest the rest. once its in ur bank account its legally your money... my buddy got paid 75000$ by his old job from a payroll mistake. he spoke with a lawyer and the lawyer said its legally his money now. his job asked for it back but they legally couldnt do anything.

Although I would never dream of keeping money that did not belong to me I would also not be in a hurry to tell anyone about such a mistake. After all, even at 1 percent interest you would be earning over a million dollar a day on 50 billion dollars. Of course most banks do not compound interest daily and it is unlikely the mistake would go unnoticed for more than a few days. Still, if I were to earn any interest on it I would probably try and argue that the interest belonged to me, although I'm not sure if that would fly in a court of law.

That's right folks. If you make a mistake, they'll charge you crazy fees and possibly press charges, but if THEY make a mistake ..... you still go to prison. On a related note though, the fact that he'd do something to bless other people is why he'll never see that much money in his life. You can't obtain that degree of wealth by taking care of others.

It is also a VERY good Idea to get a NOTE from your Bank explaining the Error to Keep for Your Own Record. Just Incase the IRS ever does a AUDIT. Cause That WILL show Up on Their SIDE and They will Wonder where all that Money went to and Where Their Cut of the Taxes From it is. So it is Advise You get a NOTE From Your Bank again Explaining The Error and Keeping for Your Own Records. Just Incase the IRS ever Comes Around. You NEVER Know.

hmmm investing in BTC would have been pretty stupid at that point. On tuesday, when the transaction was corrected, BTC had dropped by almost 2000 dollars. That would have been a huge loss.
