This is exactly what I do when going through an open-source project. If there is any code that is not clear to me, I simply copy and paste that code into ChatGPT and let it explain it to me. One thing I appreciate about it is that whenever I don't understand the code, I can ask follow-up questions and it responds with a better explanation. The best part I like about ChatGPT is the ability to cross-question it.

Day before yesterday I joined college , I feel very lucky that I came across Rahul's channel before 4 months. I'm always selective about the people i get Information or Advise from, and for me Sir Rahul is a great mentor who have ton of experience in this field. Great content and It's always better to hear perspectives from people like him.

Great information, I just have the same conclusion about GenAI, after working with it for a few months now.

I've noticed that the Edge browser/ChatGPT integration attributes a percentage of it's suggestions to Stack Overflow. Curious if it attributes a percentage of its revenues to Stack Overflow (...and if S.O. passes a percentage of those to the humans that collaborated to provide the answers/training-data-set.) As a thinking being it's sometimes hard to know whether you've been invited to dinner, or whether you are being eaten for dinner. ;-)

I find that chat gpt is really good for trawling through information that you aren't familiar with and iterating on keywords. Say for example you're trying to do something really niche, like make mods for Skyrim. You could go through so many forum posts or you could summarize that all in a very high level and understand some basics about the problem domain and have some place to start from. I would compare it in some way as 3d printing. Think of the amount of money required to come up with a prototype design that's worth spending huge money on so its worth getting injection molded. Compare that to 3d printing; it doesn't matter if your initial idea is ass, you get to iterate on it so quickly with negligible money and time spent. You reduce your risk massively and you fail fast. At some point yes you have to solve more complicated problems and do some design but the 3d printing phase has served the purpose of getting you to this phase at ridiculous ease and speed compared to the alternative. It's all about the friction involved. My goodness, I can take a screenshot of a webpage and ask gpt4 to give me a color swatch of all the colors with their hex codes. That's a mundane task you can do in any number of websites but having such a task be condensed into a repeatable query reduces the friction to the degree where changing my colorscheme in an editor is a trivial problem. So my point is that AI gives you incredible leverage that you can quickly iterate on. It is sooo nice.

Just used chatgpt to find a workaround solution for me an hour ago after stackoverflow and youtube instructions didn't work. Probably saved me at least 30 minutes of more searching. It's basically an expert in every popular framework/language.

AI needs to be implemented in routine people life before it's deployed fully (like robots moving around your house). Adding AI to jobs is a major step to make people acquainted with AI (showing AI ain't bad). In a not so distant future, AI, of course, will take over but there's UBI for that, by that time the world would have changed so much anyway

AI is going to easy our SDE jobs......so companies don't hire more engineers/newbies unless they have good good good portfolio.......i don't know where it will end......better to make some money and choose other field.
