I thought it would be a fun idea to make a £50 pike fishing challenge, the goal was to buy a rod, reel, line, leader and lures for less than £50, I think it turned out pretty good! hope you enjoy.

I love these kinds of challenges. Always ends up with all kinds of shenanigans. Wish Rapala made a downsized Peto at somewhere between 50-60 grams.

I love you tube, makes stars outta normal people, cracking video as always, I always thought the gunki stuff was top draw but obviously not, their soft plastics are ok used them a few times for perch

These savage gear lures are the same ones I was talking about when I commented on your last video. My friend has had pike to 7 or 8kg on the 13cm Rudd pattern you used (shows smaller lures can catch big pike). I use the herring pattern but in the bigger 20cm size, and it catches fish consistently.

I think you should do this more often, I enjoyed it. Btw, that pink and blue savage gear lip lure catches me a tonne of pike here in Northern Ireland. I own loads of top lures but for some reason it always does the trick.

Nice video but the way u cast when u saw that pike at the end u should if tried casting further and draging the lure to where it hit instead then it might of come back

You can literally just attach line to your D and swing around the water with a simple jig.. fish cares about the food you throw her and not your gucci rod lmao. I know shit ton of people irl who spend fortunes on equipment but they cath the same fish as every other fishing Joe.
