The song for Nevada is and will always be 'Viva Las Vegas'. I am 5th gen Nevadan and I hate Elvis but Viva rocks way more then that Katy Perry shit.

@tedwright8599 Why do hate Elvis?! I put "Kentucky Rain" for Kentucky for a good reason, because it is a great song, you should listen to it, and you will see. "Waking up in Vegas" is also a great song. So, why complain about it. Also, please don't curse in the chat.

@mattagofast3014 First off, if you think any of Katy Perry's songs are good, your ears need support animals. When it comes to Elvis, he's not quite a pedo but definitely would've met Chris Hansen by surprise. He started to date Priscilla at 14 years old. Groomed & supplied her and other young women with drugs. Also, Public Enemy's Chuck D has a few words about Elvis in Fight the Power. But even with all of Elvis's baggage, Viva Las Vegas is still a better song than Waking up in Vegas. Viva LV is way more iconic than Waking up... About 90% of the bands I've seen in concert here (Las Vegas) end up doing a cover of Viva Las Vegas, usually in the encore. I have yet to see someone do a cover of Waking up... Last night, a bunch of us (Nevadans), discussed what would be a good song for Nevada and no one mentioned Waking up in Vegas. Just letting you know what some Nevadans think about your Nevada pick. Hey, it's your list anyway, so you do you. But you seriously need to get your hearing checked out.
