Re. 04:07.. I work in a parts store that's been operating since 1919. When customers come in asking for obscure parts we no longer carry, they say, 'I bought one here 10 years ago!'.... I'll tell them, 'Well, to get another one you'll need to come back 10 years ago.'......Re 04:47.. I actually went to an auto parts store to get some generic replacement knobs for my dash, and they still had the same mix of knobs, in the same packaging, on the same shelf they were on 10 years earlier. I had to laugh, and explained it to the clerk, who looked kinda dumbfounded. Side point: Frequently-used plastic dash knobs last only about 10 years.

The store I work at is an independently owned hub for what used to be a 20 store chain in Nor. Cal. We are on 6 acres with over a million square feet of warehousing. We've got a lot of old stuff, mostly in Motormite, but a lot of stuff has become 'niche' market.... Internet marketing has hurt us big time.@@josepherhardt164

Seriously--vulture poop (highly corrosive) will burn the paint right off your car. if you pass under a tree where they're roosting and they are startled, they poop and vomit. goodbye paint job.

It seems like the worst place to be around elephants is inside a car, as I've seen video of them sitting on cars and smashing them flat. I'd take my chances hiding behind a tree and hoping they find something more interesting to smoosh.
