In this video, M. R. Hari introduces a unique person Dr George Mathew, a psychologist by profession, who uses his private forest spread over one-and-a-quarter acres in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city for what he calls a “Holigrative Walk”. Friends and clients of his have found their walk through his forest a huge stress-buster. This is perhaps the greatest benefit bestowed by forests on humans. M. R. Hari sees a link between Dr George Mathew’s “Holigrative Walk” and the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku).

ജോർജ് മാത്യു സാറിന്റെ വീഡിയോസ് കാണാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ മുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയതാണ് സാറിന്റെ വീടും പരിസരവും, അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഡീറ്റൈൽ ആയി ഒരു വീഡിയോ ചെയ്തതതിന് വളരെ നന്ദി. ഒത്തിരി നാൾ ആയിട്ട് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതാ ആ വീടിന്റെ ചുറ്റുവട്ടം ഒന്ന് കാണാൻ. എനിക്ക് ഒരുപാട് ഇഷ്‌ടമാണ്‌ ഇങ്ങനൊരു അന്തരീക്ഷം. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

എൻ്റെ വീട് കിളിമാനൂരിൽ ആണ്. നമ്മളുടെ ഭൂമി എന്ന് പറയുന്നു എങ്കിലും അതിൻ്റെ യഥാർഥ അവകാശികൾ ആയ മരങ്ങളും, പക്ഷികൾക്കും, മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും അവരുടെ പൂർണ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം നൽകി വിട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഇത്തവണ നാട്ടിലേക്ക് എത്തുമ്പോൾ മിയാവാകി രീതി പരീക്ഷിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ട്. ഇപ്പൊ ഉള്ള മരങ്ങളും, ചെടികളും ഒക്കെ ഉള്ളത് അച്ഛനും അമ്മയും അനിയത്തിയും സഹധർമ്മിണിയും നൽകുന്ന പിന്തുണ കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം ആണ്. പലരും പലതും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും കാട് ഉണ്ടാക്കുക ആണോ, പാമ്പ് പെരുകും, വീടിന് നല്ലത് അല്ല ഇത്രെയും അടുത്ത് മരങ്ങൾ എന്നൊക്കെ, ഞാൻ പിന്മാറിയില്ല. പാമ്പ്, ചേര എന്ത് തന്നെ ആയാലും കൊല്ലരുത്, മരങ്ങൾ കഴിവതും വെട്ടരുത് എന്നൊക്കെ കുറെ അലിഖിത നിയമങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങൾ വച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്ന് മാത്രം. ഒരു ചെറിയ കുളം കൂടി ആയപ്പോൾ ഞങളുടെ സ്വർഗം ആയി അവിടം.

എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും താങ്കൾ പാമ്പിന്റെ കാര്യം പറയുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ പാമ്പിനേക്കാൾ പേടിക്കേണ്ടത് എലിയെയാണ്. ഇവിടെ ഞങ്ങടെ വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു മരം മുട്ടിനിന്നാൽ അതിലൂടെ എലികേറി വരും. സർവീസ് വയർ , network cable ഒക്കെ എലിക്ക് കേറാനുള്ള മാർഗങ്ങളാണ്. ഉണക്കാനുള്ള തുണിയൊക്കെ എലി കടിച്ച് കളയും. പാമ്പിന്റെ കാര്യം അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞത് ശരിയാണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു ..... ഇവിടെ ഞങ്ങടെ പറമ്പിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ഏതാനും വർഷങ്ങളായി ധാരാളം ചേരകൾ ഉണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ കീരികളും കുറേയെണ്ണം നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഏതാനും വർഷം മുമ്പ് വരെ വളവളപ്പൻ എന്ന വിഷ പാമ്പ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അന്ന് ചിലപ്പോഴൊക്കെ അണലിയേയും കാണാറുണ്ട്. ഇപ്പോ കാണുന്നില്ല. ഞാൻ പരിസരത്തുള്ള സർവ പൊന്തക്കാട്ടിലും കേറിയിരങ്ങി നടക്കാറുണ്ട് .... പച്ചിലപ്പാമ്പും ചേരയും അല്ലാതെ വിഷപാമ്പുകളെ കാണാറേയില്ല.

ഇതിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന മൂന്നു കാര്യങ്ങളും miyawaki മാതൃകയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനം തന്നെയാണ്. ഡെൻസ് പ്ലാന്റേഷൻ, ഒരുപാട് ഓർഗാനിക്ക് വളം, പുത. തൈകൾ വളർത്തി എടുക്കുന്നത് മാത്രമേ ഒഴിവാക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ.
