For a Japanese whiskey that is cheap. If you just want affordable whiskies I'd recommend scotch or bourbon. Caol Ila, Lagavulin, Four Roses, Highland Park. The Yamazaki costs like 200 USD which is almost twice all of those four bottles above combined.

The day after I saw this video I went to buy a Talisker Skye, my first whiskey ever. Enjoyed it since then and currently drinking a glass of the Suntori Hibiki. I recall you saying that you stopped drinking whiskey at all, also a good choice. I typically drink 1/2 glasses in 2/3 weeks. So I think that is also a nice balance. Thanks for the great video which I’m rewatching now with some more appreciation of taste of whiskey. Edit: lol, the favorite bottle I’ve had was the Nikka From the Barrel and just saw that that one was your favorite too, funny.
