Early Early Early. You can get a lot done, even without Genie, by getting to a park early. You can probably do more between opening and 11am than you can between 11am and park close.

Two more - eat upstairs! Columbia Harbor House has an upstairs - and there is at least one other restaurant that does. Subscribe to Touring Plans - and make a plan for every park you have a reservation for.

My counterpoint here is DO leave the park early. Staying all day used to be my toxic trait. I marathoned the rides I wanted to do at MK and left by 4. It was amazing.

This is what I did last year it was great. I didn’t have a long line at the bus and I could go to my hotel, shower and relax or go to DP.

The weekends thing is interesting... because I found it QUIET on weekends and some Cast Members told me that weekends were getting quiet, almost because people are aware of the trend of them being busy.

I personally love the paths that connect HS and EPCOT to the Boardwalk area. It’s one of my favorite resorts for the sole reason that I can easily walk to my 2 favorite parks.

Agree 100% I remember being a kid in the late 90s leaving Epcot, we were waiting for the boat to take us back to Boardwalk but the line was insanely long. I tugged at my parents and asked, "Where does that path go?" They didn't know so we just took it. Now I make sure to take it every time I visit. Exploring is the best part of vacation.

@@AndreJungermann couldn’t agree more. Especially a place like Disney which is the size of 2 Manhattan islands, there’s endless places to explore.

A strategy my brother and I did for getting on the rides we love at magic kingdom… SKIP the fireworks show! The two of us rode Space mountain 7 times in 13 minutes because everyone left to go to the castle. We also got a late-night jungle cruise with zero wait. (It was a 45 minute wait earlier in the day)

One problem with the Swan and Dolphin point; while you aren't fighting the bus lines for the Epcot and Hollywood Studios parks, you're doubling the transportation problems for Magic Kingdom, where you get dropped off way behind even the value resort bus stops then have to go to MK by boat or monorail. They used to have a dedicated stop on the MK side of the lake, but they no longer do.
@leonorfernandez3596

I recommend walking to the Boardwalk or to the Beach/Yacht Club and taking their buses to MK. You’ll get dropped much closer.

It’s hard to believe that anyone would kind of blindly book a WDW vacation not knowing all these small details! The fact you upload so frequently really shows the scale of how huge Disney parks are! I had no idea how big the property was!! Thought you could walk everywhere!!

Just got back a few days ago. We’ve been many times the week following Thanksgiving and this time we were elbow to elbow many times on weekdays especially at Magic Kingdom. Getting mowed over by strollers and electric scooters. Glad we got in one last ride on Splash Mountain tho. Now taking a long long break from Disney.

I just got back and the busiest park was Magic Kingdom on a Monday. I parked hop most of the time with the sky liner. The park was decorated so beautiful for Christmas which I have never seen before. The Festival of the holidays was awesome at Epcot. Now I used Mobile checkout everywhere and for everything. That is the way to go

Does Disney have any extra options that are under $100 per person? $150 for late night parties, $100 to watch the fireworks, large amounts for behind the scenes tours, etc. really adds up quickly for a family of four.

I have no idea why anyone would stand in a humongous line for Starbucks at Disney parks. Especially given the price of the park admission. Nothing against Starbucks or its fine products but why miss tons of unique experiences and food you can’t get at home?

We jumped in to the Rise line right before park close a week ago Friday to get a second ride in. After we went through the first pre show part with Rey we bypassed the transport vehicle and were directed to the queue line after it. It was never made clear if that was standard procedure or whether it was broken down. Having gone one the ride many many times in our 3 trips there we at least knew the story but felt bad for anyone who didn’t know the whole story. I still wonder if they cut corners that way or if it was broken and we should be glad we got what we got. I don’t feel like it helped make things go faster as there was a longer than normal queue after that and still plenty of people behind us that jumped in those last 8 minutes.

I went in Oct. and it was too crowded, mostly in Magic Kingdom. I sure hope I get another disability pass and I hope it's my first Disney park. I sure hope when I go back in Oct .Rise of the Restance has a single line lane like Smugglers Run Does. One great way to afford the gift stores, don't go in.

If you want a relaxing midday break from the Magic Kingdom crowds, Wilderness Lodge is a GREAT option! For starters, the boat ride from MK to the resort is very pleasant (and under 10 minutes). Wilderness Lodge's location, and its overall vibe, make it seem like the resort is worlds away from the MK crowds. The resort has really good options for counter service and table service restaurants, so the ability to get a reservation is not an issue. If you're not quite ready to face park crowds after your meal, relax in the lobby (and charge your devices) until you're ready to take the boat back to MK.

I stayed at the Swan Hotel and I wasn’t impressed. The 1st room they assigned me obviously hadn’t been used for a while, the toilet was constantly running, it was gross, and the room smelled very musty. I went back down to the front desk and requested a different room. It took a while to get a new room and again I wasn’t impressed. The rug was wet, the room looked worn, and the mattress wasn’t at all comfortable. I made the mistake of booking when a cheerleading competition was going on, so it was quite crowded. I also don’t appreciate their per night extra resort fee. I don’t find it much cheaper than Disney deluxe resorts when I get an AP discount. Generally, I’m disenchanted with Disney who needs to let parents raise their children and not get involved pushing their agendas and try yo indoctrinate children. I’m happy to see that the garbage movies they’ve been putting out have flopped. Wake up, Disney. You’re supposed to be family friendly.
