In this video dad and me fix the blown rear tire on our 70s John Deere 302A. When we bought it the tires were iffy but we rode them until they wouldn’t hold air. I also put up new lights in the shop and dig a trench for sewer line and at the end scrap some steel I’ve been saving.

I know that the will it run/make it run videos are popular, but a lot of us also enjoy the workshop updates and improvements! I had seen the lights in a previous video so it is interesting to see the backstory on them-- huge improvement! And a tractor is so useful in so many ways... I want one even though I honestly don't need one! Good job on the scrap metal cleanup... very satisfying to see the "junk" disappear (and put a bit of cash in your pocket!). Keep up the good work... I'll be watching!

Yes the lights have appeared in previous vids but I’ve been filming for this video for probably 2-3 months. Glad you can appreciate the stuff that isn’t “will it run” although the next vid we will be on the 48 again

I discovered your site a couple of months ago and really enjoy your videos. I especially enjoy the relationship you have with your Dad. My old Pops is gone now, but whenever I'm working on my vehicles, I can still feel him looking over my shoulder like when he was teaching me the ins and outs and old Dad tricks. Now I'm the old Dad that teaches my kids.

We always returned it better than we got it ..... When it was at my sites sometimes we would run the box over ASU STADIUMS BB DIAMOND

Love the lights. I had 6 curly florescent lights in my basement on weird circuits. 1 had no switch and 2 were pull chain. I rewired all and have 4 zones with Smart controls & 18 LED bulbs. North has 3, south has 5, east has 6 & west has 4 lights. They can be controlled by 4 switch's, app, routine or voice. What a difference these lights make & each light only uses 5 watts. I also installed a light like the ones you just installed over my PC workshop table. It is voice or app controlled. Alexa in center of my basement & 10 total in my home.

Is always better to use a bottle jack for raising up a tractor. That is how we did it on the farm 🚜. Some large blocks and a 10 ton bottle jack to raise the tractor high enough to dismount the tire. Although these tractors 🚜 we had have tires that were over 6' tall the rear ones. 😊

$30,000 tires? I’ll sleep well tonight knowing I don’t have to worry about that expense. Very satisfying to watch the pipeline go in and the lights go up, I could do with just one of those lol. I’m sure a plumber will chime in here but that 90 degree elbow should at least have a clean out on it (should probably have been a sweep 90 also). If you have a clog in the future that’s where I’d look first. Personally I’d have put a couple of more clean outs evenly spaced along the entire run, 200’ is a long run and it looks like you have a bare minimum of fall. Good luck.

Maybe on that tire that you’ve had to put a few tubes in, you should remove the tire completely, then feel around inside the tire to see if something sharp is pushed into the tire itself. If you don’t feel anything, it could be stuck in the rubber, you could also spray contact cement into the tire, cut a tube open and glue a “liner” inside the tire. It will probably stop the tubes from getting punctured. If it happens again, try gluing another “liner” around the outside of the tube. What happened with the lights you had in your carport before? Or are these in addition to those?

You should let the box down so you're not lifting that weight also. That will make it several hundred pounds lighter. And on that kind of tractor (construction skip loader) you could put down pressure on that box to lift the back wheels off the ground anyway. YOU DON'T NEED THE JACK! And you certainly don't need the jack to get the front wheels off the ground by using that loader bucket!
