Surprisingly these two movies had so much in common regarding its 'Master -Servile' relationship theme. Mammootty displayed his range of acting by playing the master in Vidheyan and the servile in Ponthanmada. Two characters which stand in two extreme poles by the same actor in the same year. Rightfully he bagged the national award too. That was a real rare happening in Indian Cinema which no other actor in India has in their credit. You will have to watch both the movies to see what I'm exactly talking about!

Ashmita I totally agree with ur point, Mammootty is really good in the drama genre. I suggest u watch the Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha movie. It's based on a true story and this was the first recorded crime in Kerala.
