Today, I review the 2005 Mercedes SL55 AMG, a sportscar with almost 500 horsepower and in today's market can be had for under $30,000.

Thanks. I have a 2020 C300. Great car but not sure if it's a keeper. You can tell they are skimping on quality. For example, after only 4 years and 15K miles, the top of the seat cushion leather should still be held tightly in place. But it isn't. When you get out, the seat cushion bubbles up. It looks like there's an upside down bowl under the leather. More examples of lesser quality throughout the car. I rubbed my shoe against a piece of plastic on the door and it left a scratch. The plastics in general are soft. What will this car look like in 5 years? Why buy a new car if you have to fix it? Why would you fix it if it won't last? Makes more sense to buy the SL55 for less than half price of the C300. I could have a pretty large budget for repairs with the money I'd save on the purchase price. Plus it's a much nicer car. The only downside is dated tech.
