@@balinoob1837 lmao I wouldn’t exactly call this safe with all the molten metal and stuff on fire... but hey I’ll gladly watch
@balinoob18373 жыл бұрын
@@eyeborg3148 what I mean by safe is that they can't get killed, because that's the scary part about electricity, it's that at high voltage, you get shock... you just die, there... laying there all burned up and with a smell of burn in the room, you've just been cook in milliseconds. Yeah fire is dangerous, but you tame that, you can't tame voltage, new guy on the job or Grand Master Electrician with 40 years in the trade will both die if they get shock with that 600V. Calling their experiment dangerous would be the same a saying that arc welding is dangerous, yeah but you know... not that much
@balinoob18373 жыл бұрын
@Denys Borsukov I'm an electrician buddy, V = A • R. The voltage determines the amount of current that will pass through your body. Why can you put your hand on the + and - of a car battery and feel nothing? Because it's 12V, at a 120V you wouldn't even let your hand on for more than the time to react and at 600V, your hand would start to burn on the inside. Why is there always danger signs about High Voltage and never about High current? If their set up was at 120V, the circuit would be passing 10000 amps through the wrench instead of ~100-200 amps. I cannot even tell you how fearsome high voltage is my friend. If you don't believe me, google "ohm's law" it's the E = I • R which is Voltage = Current × Resistance. But hey what do I know I'm just a stupid electrician I guess
@balinoob18373 жыл бұрын
@Denys Borsukov 🤣🤣 Omg that text was soooooo funny dude. Yeah I'm a NASA scientist and we have discovered that gravity doesn't exist and I'm working on the next mission to mars where I will be the only astronaut going to the red planet so I can take a selfie with the Martians. Brother, the current will kill you but you need a high enough voltage for that amount of current to pass. And that device you're working on to remove bad current already exists, it's called a GFCI system, it trips when the amount of current going to ground (Not the Neutral) is at 5mA (In North America)

In real electrical terms 240 is considered low-voltage. High voltage is things like power-lines etc. 20 - 50,000V etc. 'Low' doesn't mean safe of course. 420V DC will kill you in a nasty way.

It's high current but low voltage. According to ohms law: I=V/R which means that the amount of current that passes through your body is the result of the voltage divided by your skin resistance. If they're getting 5v at 5000 amp (that would be like 25kW of fucking power, which is about what they can get from the power lines without raising some eyebrows for overcharging) then it would be I=25/100.000 (dry skin) but let's suppose the worst hypothesis of unprotected hands wet with that spray they're using so resistance would drop to 1kOhms. I=25/1.000=0.025amps or 25mA. So the power is I*V so 0.025*5=0.125W or *125mW* of power being dissipated through his body. That can't do shit. Compare it to 120V. I=V/R=I=120/1.000=0.120A or 120mA. As power is I*V, you have 0.120*120 which takes *14.4W* into your body! It's literally over a thousand times more power!
