​@@TobyFireandSteel Yeh the bed is longer but less deep. It was also the only model available with the R8 spindle but while I ordered the R8 they sent the mt3 anyway, so that sucked and I wasn't going to fool about trying to send it back, I only noticed after it was all set up. The plan was just to directly use the R8 collets to give more Z space but now I'll just do what you did with the chuck. I can't say my experience with Ausee was a good one (they also failed to send parts ordered for the lathe but they did correct this, after their customary delay in communication), but as you said they are about the only option.

@@TobyFireandSteel Yeh, I think the combination of an edge finder with a dro is going to be a must have. I'm running it through titanium just fine but for precision and confidence in use (expensive mistakes!) really needs that dro.
