50007 & 50049 on The Caledonian 7/10/17

Here is my footage of 50007 'Hercules' and 50049 'Defiance' double heading 1Z50 'The Caledonian' en-route to Glasgow on Saturday 7th October 2017. We see the pair in fine form passing Bay Horse just south of Lancaster on the outward leg. The tour run by Pathfinder was running up the Wcml from London to Glasgow.

Great sight and sound. As an apprentice I spent hours in the English Electric diesel test house at Rugby tending the 16CSVT during its development running and then more hours in DP2 on the ECML. Thanks for posting. And with 13 on the two engines were earning their diesel. And the 50s look so modern to my eyes.
