In this video I break down exactly how much it cost in parts to get the R34 GTT from pretty much stock to around 500bhp. I go over all the parts that we bought for the car, bits you will need to do and some optional parts as well.

Your car should be worth a pretty penny now mate!! With skylines you can spend so much money if you're pocket will allow but at the end you will have something everyone else will adore and you will be individual and without any effort grab everyone's attention

I just got a 1999 GTT and it’s been sitting in the garage because I don’t know what I’m going to need to get it to respectable level on the streets. I was looking for around 500HP

Same here but '98. Call a tuner shop for a quote. Mine said 480 hp for at least $6,000. He said over 500 and I'll need tranny/ drivetrain upgrades

Yeah I've heard the coilpack plugs are notorious for disintegrating 😂 new plugs going on soon!

Thank you! It's a mix of R34 GTR and Z-Tune style, the rear diffuser is Top Secret :)

What are you using for an fuel pressure regulator? I’m building my r33 with a mamba gtx7031r as well but I’m externally wastegated with mid mount manifold, greddy plenum, Bosch ev 1000cc injectors, fuel rail as s2 rb25 is a side feed, link g4x and 3” exhaust so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s much power difference compared to the standard exhaust manifold 🙂

Stock fuel pressure reg is good for what we've got here :) I think it's fine up to about 650bhp but worth double checking :) sounds like a great build dude staying stock bottom end? S2s are obviously a bit weaker than the NEOs that's the only reason I ask 😀

@@ProjectRacecar forgot to add lol! Forged wössner pistons, steel gasket, acl bearings, arp rod bolts and head studs as well, previous owner had ring land failure so slightly over bore and completed that work before selling. I’m still on my stock clutch so if it holds out enough just to get me past the dyno stage I’ll be happy lol. I plan to have the car back on the road for Feb/March so hopefully I’ll have enough saved for that

I have an RB25DE engine. I take it yours is an RB25DET? If I'm doing a DE+T do I still need all of these parts? I'm in South East Kent, don't suppose you could help me or DM me some stuff could you. Much appreciated ❤

I've never done de+t I'm afraid but I think there are plenty of guides online. The internals are obviously not as strong so don't expect to make GTT power unless your building the engine :)

No probs :) Depends where your based, Abbey / RB Motorsport probably the go to for RBs in the UK. Find a tuner before buying an ECU would be my advice and buy what they prefer :)

Redline is still stock for now as we didn't forge or do any real head work :)

Do you roughly how much these GTT’s make with just an Intake, Exhaust and a tune?

Stock ECU is limited so will make about 320bhp at the flywheel with supporting mods like that, if you have a Link and whatnot maybe a little more :)

That’s pretty solid. I saw you dynoed it. Typically when you test it on a dyno it’s wheel horsepower. Is that what you mean by at the flywheel? For example, my 2017 WRX is advertised as 268 HP at the crank but when it’s tested on a dyno, it’s actually around 230 hp to the wheels. So is it wheel or crank hp? Sorry for the long confusing question

It depends on the Dyno, the one in the video spits out a "crank" horsepower value, AKA Flywheel. Wheel horsepower is the value you get after the loss from the drivetrain, which is a bit higher on an AWD car. There are some online calculators but I think it's about 20% from memory

I reckon you're making more like 400bhp than 500bhp with that setup. I do like the trigger kit though. Might get one

It made about 467 on the Dyno but it should be capable of near 500 once I've ported the internal wastegate a bit more :)

@@BossCarsUK it was pretty much put together by us bar some fabrication work and final setup, mapped by Enginetuner in Plymouth :)

My man I didn't open the engine it was done previously. Was advised by the RB gurus in OZ to just leave the head on and do studs, so that's what we did 👌
