I bet it’s 1 that he’s very competitive, and 2 he’s upset that Charlie doesn’t do as much to keep himself healthy in Glenn’s eyes while Glenn does a ton of stuff and researches a ton of stuff but yet Charlie won. My dad was a doctor and we lost him a few years ago. Something about this doctor made me think of him . So this episode wasn’t just funny, and Educational. While Charlie "won", in the categories that matter, mostly the first half, Glenn really is the healthiest. No one is going to live longer because they have slightly higher mineral levels in their blood. Also Rob having higher T levels is a given, since he has... enhanced himself.

RN here. Oh my im so relieved he mentioned their blood pressures were inaccurate. I saw that last week and was screaming at the phone lol. And when the phlebotomist said being close to 160 systolic was “good” i almost threw my goddamn phone 🤣🤣🤣 wrist pressures are absolute TRASH lol

@@riflemanm16a2 i don’t love a 130 but depending on your age and anything else you may have, it could be acceptable. Generally as long as someone is under 140 with hypertension I’m not mad. But 160? I was dying lol. Those wrist cuffs though are SO bad unless you’re perfectly small with a thin wrist. Everyone else gets read too high. The second they put it on Rob i knew the reading would suck.

As I was watching this I logged into my healthcare site and compared my blood panel results for the past few years. If nothing else, you have raised interest in comparing my results to your results and now I'm taking my own results more seriously. I am a medical lab tech, so having a basic understanding of all these lab tests is part of my job and Dr. Kipper does an amazing job explain everything in simple to understand terms. Definitely worth saving this to a watch later list and reviewing the episode next time you look at your blood work.

This was such a delight to watch! Especially because i legitimately watched this episode while in the ER, no BS. Lss urgent care sent me to the ER because my blood pressure was extremely high to the point where I'm at risk for a stroke. Watching this episode calmed me down and I'm gonna be fine! I just have to take meds for my blood pressure from now on and make some changes. I wish good health on everyone!!!

It felt like the character dynamic was coming to the surface as the episode went on. The more they were just focused on whose number was better, then going on further asking what Dr Kipper would prefer. This was the definition of healthy competition!

@@zomgwtfrank charlie in that regard is like those diesel mercedes w123's in africa that has been in continuous use as taxis since the 80's, with the odometer doing several zero rollovers in its lifetime with only minimum maintenance. not a prestigious or fancy car at all, but it will run like clockwork forever as long as you give it gas and oil (will rust beyond repair in a decade where i'm from though lol)

I think I listen to a fair amount of podcasts and this is BY FAR the most interesting thing I've ever listened to, and I'm only 3/4 of the way in. I could listen to Dr. Kipper explain general health and wellness to me all day. It may have been the 2 margaritas, but I ADORED this episode (all have them have been great, btw. Thank you for the continued entertainment.)

Glenn I immediately paused the podcast when talking about B vitamin levels because I also have the MTHFR deficiency and I have never heard anyone else talk about it until this podcast episode!! I found out quite a few years ago at this point but even some doctors I go to don't know what that is so it was really a crazy experience to hear you talk about it on a podcast!! Love you all and glad you're all healthy

I pulled up my last lab results for the episode 😂 I didn't keep score because 1) I haven't been tested for everything y'all were tested for, 2) some of my results were in percentages, and 3) I didn't want to. But it was kinda cool to hear explanations of certain tests.
