@@mushylogrealism ≠ perfect real life analogue. Realism is in the simulation - are aerodynamics/ΔV/thrust etc. realistically simulated? Planet size is irrelevant. N-body physics would be a better example and even then, the game is realistic rather than perfectly realistic

It's nice to have you back, your game knowledge and skill is amazing. I think it would be a nice idea for this series to kinda alternate between small "easy" missions, going for ridiculously small launch mass, and longer ones, allowing for some interesting options. I'm waiting for it!

Yay! He's back. Fascinating missions and a neat sense of humor. :) Hmm... where to suggest for a low-mass mission? Anywhere would be good; the added challenge of minimizing the mass for the destination is a bit of a leveller. Eve popped into my mind and I've got to agree with the person who said, "Jool, while it still has a surface," but those would take a bit of working up to with the new atmospheric heating. For a more immediately practical destination, how about Tylo? Obviously, I've been following for long enough to think practicality is relative. ;)

Seems 515kg is pretty close to the limit, you had very little margin for error. As for low-mass challenges, a Jool landing would be interesting (while Jool still has a solid surface).

Hey wistance, there are some more aerodynamic tricks. If you place a nose cone or so on top of a fairing but don’t build the shell, the drag of the attached part is reduced by about half. this also works with cargobays if you attach a cone on top.

I didn't think aerodynamics / air resitance were a thing in KSP 2 yet. I tried to aerobrake from a high eliptical Kerbin orbit and absolutely nothing happened ( no noticable AP change when dropping to 45km in the atmosphere). Not until I had decoupled the capsule. The capsule was affected by air resistance but then dug in too fast and exploded.

Oh. I am surprised you don't know what would happen to a human if thrown into a volcano. 1. You can not actually fall into lava only onto it, it still being rock after all. 2. The dramatic thermal bloom would likley kill you before you reached the lava. 3. Once your corpse hit the lava your corpse would begin to skitter around on the lava like water on a hot frying pan because that is almost exactly what is going on.
