Good ole' Joolian.. Cocktail glass in one hand and a joint in the other. Also, around 3:04, that was almost the space equivalent of the Costa Concordia wreck..

In space flight simulator it's really easy to get to orbit with ion engines I can even get to the moon really easily, now I'm going to try to get to Mars only using ion engines in SFS

no way you pushed your craft up the mountain for like 1 dv
@Somerandom1922Ай бұрын
I know this is years old now, but just curious at 8:00 if there would be an efficiency gain by capturing at Moho in a retrograde orbit (e.g. clockwise when viewed from the north) so you can capture on the sunward side of Moho and make full use of the admittedly weak oberth effect, then once captured into a maximally elliptical orbit, you turn around at apogee which would only require a few m/s. Then you can lower your orbit using tiny periapsis kicks relying only on battery (for greater efficiency). I'm really not sure if the improved capture efficiency with the Oberth effect would counteract the additional DV requirements to turn the orbit around, but it's an interesting thought regardless.

would it be worth it to use the ejection force of decouplers to your adantage?
@losivart96107 күн бұрын
Not really. Decouplers offer very minimal Delta V, we're talking single digit mps on any craft with real weight. Best thing would be to turn the craft when staging to take advantage of the added Delta V, but most of his staging took place during burns, which makes this impractical.

is ksp2 good now?
@alexsiemers7898Ай бұрын
It’s definitely better, but still missing the ISRU and robotics from KSP1, let alone all the unique content promised. And unfortunately a few weeks ago word came out that the dev studio was shut down, so the chance that we’ll be getting more content at all is slim.
@Strelnikov403Ай бұрын
The SWERV is absolutely busted and overperforms to such a ludicrous degree that it's tantamount to cheating, in my opinion. Shame too, as this is unlikely to change any time soon with development all but ceased and the newly-gutted studio stuck in financial limbo. What an absolute clusterfuck this game was. Good riddance to bad trash - now all Take-Two needs to do is release the KSP1 source code to regain some customer faith, sell the IP to someone who actually cares, and fuck off.
