She's smoking, that jewel sounds very healthy 👍🏻 should be fine with .015" squish all day long. Im about to crack into a Mk1 562xp here shortly and try my luck at it.

My 2015 562xpg is an old WWS build. It has a pop up with .014-.015” squish. Been that way since 2015 and it’s alive and well

Regardless if that's a chain issue or not, that freaking saw screams.

Chain sharpness and cutter geometry is critical when rpm's go over 11,500 rpm in the cut if your looking for speed. You are out running the chain as suggested by Matte.
@HouseworksawsАй бұрын
No I think you’re right I’ve always heard the factory grind is rated for 10krpm chain speed

Try another chain , maybe a new out of the box chain and see if the rpm in the cut changes.
@aaronpowell4885Ай бұрын
The overrunning your chain theory makes sense to me. Maby a slightly more aggressive hook?
@stanleymason8155Ай бұрын
I have been using my chainsaw mill and can file quite well now. However it wouldn't cut slabs well. Then I went from my Oregon raker Guage and tried the Husqvarna raker gauge. While it should be the same depth it is ramped to the point less aggressively then stock! I can say it cut horrendously faster and used noticeably less fuel!! So long story short slope the raker.

I had a clone 660 hit at 0.017 had to cut more squish band to get clearance that being said it had Chineseium bering tolerance but eventually your OE berings are gonna wear as well

Buy 3 chains . Use one for 10 timed cuts and record the loss . Factor a handicap for wear

It's very easy to know why autotune generated a richer tuning, so it makes less r.p.m. off the wood, but maintains more r.p.m. on the wood simple
@crazyfeller5704Ай бұрын
👍👍 just a thought - use a 24 for everything. One pass for speed in smaller wood, speed pass in larger wood and dog for torque. You seem to have a feel for the right pressure to keep it even. That trims the chain qty to 10 chains. If you can establish a link count I may be able to assist.
@novicelumberjackАй бұрын
Great idea! And maybe we can get the Duke to step in and sponsor the event, have the chains sent to someone who can put identical and somewhat hungry grinds on them all, and each saw does their own cuts with the same chain. 10 Duke chains all with an identical grind... sounds like a plan!
@crazyfeller5704Ай бұрын
If the duke can do it - great! If not, let me know, I can pick up a roll of “ whatever” brand and make them up.

If you got more power to run higher rpm then you should be able to run the chain a little more agressive just my thoughts. I also had a pretty hot 036 with an 8pin that i swear would dual the chain fast because it was spinning so fast 🤷♂️

I literally have no idea why I said that. If I've ever made flat ports, it's on this saw. I removed the transfer caps and came in from the outside. Those ports are flatt and perfect as I can get them. I also said that the mark 2 comes with a flat top piston. It's hard, speaking on the fly like that. Gives me a better understanding of George W. Bush. Not that I ever disliked him, but he was pretty well known to say some stupid shit!.
