I feel like celebrating a life well lived. My mother, in her 88th and 89th year of life. She was always there with her wit, humor and sweet smile. Here is a collection of short videos made at different times during last couple of years. My mother Rosemary.Anne. Sarfaraz Khan, lived a life on her own terms. Converting to Islam in her seventies. She spent a lifetime devoted to her husband and child. Living by her philosophy of 'Secret of happiness is in contentment" and 'Life is as you make it.' Basically an introvert, she just wanted to be with her own family and close friends.
Always, I saw her being grateful to Allah. Her cooking was amazing. In this video I've shared one of her recipes, which I've adapted a bit more to our taste.
She loved each one of her grand children, and now her great grand children too. Being generous to everyone around her, she blessed us with her wisdom, her approach to life and her sense of humor. Even the staff enjoyed her humor, and miss her terribly.
We all have loved her as she loved us. May Allah bless her with highest place in heaven. Ameen.
